aka Bela Lugosi (1882)? This Hungarian actor of stage and
screen was best known for playing Count Dracula. Trivia buffs:
Bela's performance in Tod Browning's Dracula (1931) created
such a sensation that he reportedly received more fan mail
from females than even Clark Gable. Way to go, Bela!

... that today is the anniversary of the East Coast Blackout?
In 1965, an electric power failure caused a blackout over
northeastern United States, the largest blackout in history.
Around 25 million people and 80,000 square miles were left
without electricity for up to 12 hours. The cause of the
failure was human error when maintenance personnel incorrectly
set a protective relay too low.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Day? In 1921, President Warren
Harding dedicated the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington
National Cemetery. Trivia buffs: The Guard takes 21 steps
during his walk across the Tomb of the Unknowns; it alludes to
the 21-gun salute, which is the highest honor given any
military or foreign dignitary. There has been a Sentinel on
duty in front of the Tomb every minute of every day since 1937.
