Well, I got a call back for a second interview. I'll be spending all of Monday in a business suit and dress shoes. But hey, maybe I'll get a good paying job, huh? Ya never know!!

Ellen: "Hey, does anyone know where my watch is? I knew there was one somewhere around here earlier!"

Ellen: "This may look like my sexy pose, but it's actually my polite pose. I had garlic bread for lunch and I don't want to subject anyone to it. Where is my Spin Brush?!?!"

Portia: "You take it."
Ellen: "No, you take it!"
Portia: "No, you take it baby!"
Ellen: "Let's give it to Craig."
Portia: "Ok, but can he throw a coin in a fountain?"
Ellen: "Last time I checked most people had that ability...you just let it go and aim for the fountain."
Portia: "The last time he aimed for something, he was bowling and aiming for the center pin, and what happened?"
Ellen: "Well, he shouldn't have gotten a ball with such small holes...but it was fun watching him fly down the lane with the ball!!"
Portia: "He got a strike too!!"

Ellen: "Those are beautiful drapes...can we keep them?"
Portia: "No, they're rented."
Ellen: "But I'm on Idol now...I've got a second job! Can we keep them? Please baby?"
Portia: "Fine, but you're in charge of cleaning them!!"
Ellen: "You know what, we don't really need any new drapes that bad after all."
Portia: "Uh huh, that's what I thought."

That has to be a good sign. :D

Erring on the side of dressiness is probably the way to go.

You can always dress more casually once you work there, if that is how they expect people in your job position to dress. :uglyconf:

Congratulations Nicole!! I am with James, I would dress up. It's kinda unfortunate, but employers tend to equate sharp dressers with sharp minds. Ask Ellen if you can borrow that jacket she wore last night to the PCA's:p. Speaking of Ellen, this job is only gonna be temp. I think your future lies with Ellen's show. :D Good luck..
Have you sent any resumes to the show?

YAY thats really good:D

i would lean towards dressing smart as you can only make one good first impression and it can't really do that much harm looking smart.
Plus my dad used to work in an undertakers , the day he asked if they had jobs free he'd been doing our garden and the man who ended up being his boss first thought he was a tramp so initially said no. lol, but then again my dads kinda daft so you know.

I wore a business type suit and dress shoes to the first interview because the girl who called me a few weeks ago said their dress code is business professional, meaning business suit and dress shoes. And when she called me back yesterday, she said what I wore was perfect. So that is one downside if I get the job...I hate business suit and dress shoes.:( But if it pays well and offers me insurance, it will be worth it.

And I've been called back for second interviews a few times in the past and you see where I still am. I think there will be a whole group of us Monday, but I'm not sure. The guy interviewed a lot of people yesterday. I'm not getting my hopes up, but we'll see.:o

Once you have the job you can lobby for something like a casual Friday.

In a lot of places that turned into a dressy Monday or something like that. :uglyconf:
