Ellen season 3 on DVD?

I just checked amazon.com, and there's nothing for when season 3 is going to come out on DVD. Usually they have a pre-order, or at least the date of when it's supposed to go on sale. Does anyone know if they are making season 3? I really hope so, cuz I was looking forward to season 4.

I must admit that I prefer season 5. OK Puppy episode excluded from that comment. Puppy episode was the one that made history and that is the most important episode of the show and I want it on DVD.

However judging the seasons, without reference to Puppy, I really liked season 5 better than other seasons. It really seemed that the character was stronger and more confident and knew who she was and that meant that the humour could be on a different level. It also allowed them to explore things other TV shows usually don't get into, which gave it depth.

Don't mention the giant chicken. 8)

I can't wait untill season 3,4, and 5. They have to come out, season 1 and 2 already. It wouldn't make sense if they just stop at season 2.

I have to agree with scifan, I really like season five! I'm enjoying watching them now, because I have to admit...I was one of the many who occassionally tuned into the show when it was on the air, and of course watched the Puppy episodes, and unfortunately didn't stick around for the ones after, but I really wish I should have because they're hilarious!

I was just surfing around some DVD forums because I finally came home with the first season on dvd (yes, I know...it took me a while to get it) and apparently A&E has no current plans to release any more seasons. I'm wondering if we should start a letter writing campaign? It would be awful if they stopped now. I really think seasons 4 & 5 especially need to be released.

I taped season 1 through 4. It happened to be on the Oxygen network when I taped it,but when I taped it,the shows did not come out to good. This is why i am looking for the dvd's also.

I'm really hoping A&E changes their mind. I have the Puppy episode burried on tape somewhere, but I really want all these seasons on dvd. I have all of Ellen's movies and stand up on DVD. I hope they don't throw this away after season 2. They're sitting on a goldmine with this show. I can't find the show in syndication in Canada :-(

I also have two of her stand-up comedies plus season 1 on dvd,plus two movies on dvd. I have "Mr.Wrong" and "Finding Nemo"
I would liek to get the rest of her movies but I am having a problem doing that. I guess I have to look either on e-bay or through other websites on the computer.
I love having the Oxygen channel then that way i can cath the show in syndication.

I can't find the show in syndication in Canada :-(

I know, I can't find the show in syndication either and I'm from Canada too. They used to have the show on air last summer til the middle of August on CTV at 12:30AM.

I hope they will bring the show back on air on the channel that us Canadian can catch watch it on. I'm jealous to the fact that the people in the US can catch it on Oxygen channel, which we don't even get. :-(

Ellen DVD IS in the Works
Last week we posted that A&E Home Video had no current plans for season 3 of Ellen but we also found out that Benny Hill Set 4 would come out Jan. 31. Yesterday TVShowsonDVD.com relayed all of our stories from last week, including the A&E update, and someone very close to the Ellen DVDs at A&E e-mailed them and told them that season 3 IS indeed in the works. I'm sure that is a big relief for fans of the hit sitcom, as we have not seen a DVD release since late February 2005 when season two came out. And it looks like we will see season three around the same time in 2006. It seems a February or March release date for season three right now. Maybe they are giving Ellen a second chance? Since it will be at least a year between seasons. If a second chance is the case, you better make sure you buy a copy if you are a fan and urge others to as well. And we apologize for saying that there were no plans for Ellen season 3. I was just relaying what I was told. It is a good thing we mentioned something about Ellen at least, or we still would have not found out if there were plans for season three! You have to get them,they are really funny. I taped the season's off of Oxygen when they were on that channel. They are still on that channel. When season 3 comes out on dvd I am going to get it.

i have here and now and the beginning...i think she stopped me from buying them because she 'hates ellen' (as most of my friends do, but they don't know why...i think they just don't want to admit that they do :P)...she was like "oh thats a stupid show you shouldn't buy it, ellens stupid shes not funny at all"... i should though... thats what christmas is for! :)

actually, i was listening to phone call to god in geography (finally, a subject i like! :)...highest mark in the class, might i add.) and i started reciting it and my friend wanted to hear it, so i let her, and then she said "so, when's ellen on? i want to watch it."...and it was so surprising. but she still thinks shes stupid, but doesn't know why. :?

Your friends do not know what they are missing when it comes to Ellen that is for sure. Like i said everything she is in whether it is in her movies or her talk shows or comedy acts,she is really and truely funny. :D
