hi,
Thanks for welcoming me Donna? How far is Nashville,North Carolina from Greenville North Carolina?
Have you read Ellen's two books? I have her two comedy acts that Ellen did, (The Beginning and Here and Now) and i also have the movie Mr. Wrong. :)
I kinda buy every magazine that Ellen is in also. Did you happen to buy the Allure magazine that she is in? I did.
i read the book that her mom wrote also, that was really good book to. :)
Is the Ellen Degeneres show on at 11:00 in the morning as well as is it is on at 5:00 in the afternoon in Nashville? Just wondering.
a real big Ellen Degeneres fan,
Dawn

The new season will start in the fall (of the TEDS)...probably in early September, that's when it started last year.
I have both of Ellen's books, her mother's book, and both of Ellen's concert DVD's as well. Oh, and If These Walls Could Talk 2. I really like Ellen....can you tell? LOL!!!

Well, you all appear to be big Ellen fans. I have to tell you that I really believe I am the biggest. And to show my dedication to Ellen, I tattooed her face on my ass.

LOL...that was so funny. Your opinion of me totally changed in like a split second.
I shouldn't have said that, but I'm feeling mischevious tonight.
No, I don't have her face on my ass, but it would be really weird if I did.
I really am a big ellen fan. My favorite picture of her is the one from her master card ad. where she's playing cards with the dog. I love dogs, and mine kind of looks like the dog in the pic. Also, Ellen looks way cool. I think it really captures who she is.

That brings up an interesting topic though, once that was kind of covered once. Anyone have any interesting tattoos? I have the Canadian flag on the inside of my leg, right above my ankle. I get a lot of "Are you Canadian?" questions.... I want another but haven't come up with anything else that means as much to me yet.

Sadly, no tattoos. I would sort of like one, but it seems sort of silly at my age. It never occured to me to get one when I was of a more appropriate age. Ahh...missed opportunities, life is just full of them. :-(

I am a firm believer in that your never to old (unless your my mother). I was like 30 or something when I got mine. Ya, 30. I figure when I'm older it would just look like the flag is flapping in the wind. :)

I have another angel above a tibetan cloud on my lower back, I have the japanese symbol for peace on my left ring finger, i have a small design on the inside of my left arm just above my wrist and I am part of a art/book project where this author is writing this short story and the only way it is being published is by each person involved has a word tattooed on their body, so I have my word on the outside of my right wrist. It is called the skin project if anyone wants to read up on it www.ineradicablestain.com. go under the skin project

yeah, I thought it was a great idea, really creative. Shelly has almost all the people, but she has recieved like 10,000 replies, and she is basically doing all the paperwork herself, so it has taken her over a year to distribute the words. I did it right when she first started so I got it done pretty quick.

06-24-2005, 11:14 PM
That is just about the most creative project I have ever heard of..you are so lucky to be a part of it.

06-24-2005, 11:16 PM
I am really happy that I am part of it..It's just one of the crazy experiences I have had in my life that I can add to the makeup of me.
I could probably write a book myself, now if I could just think of a creative way to publish it!!!
mamacan
06-24-2005, 11:17 PM
I'll bet you could if you really put your mind to it!
st17ar
06-24-2005, 11:21 PM
I don't trust my mind when I have to put it to work like that because something naughty always comes out as the product!!!!

06-24-2005, 11:22 PM
And your point is??? LMAO!! Just depends on what kind of project you want it to be. Might be a best seller, you never know!!

yes it is a very rewarding job, when you are working on people who aren't jerks. some people can be really ridiculus. I have worked on people from one end of the spectrum to the other, celebrities to people working at ground zero from 9/11
mamacan

That is so great...yes, some people can be real jerks, but it must be very rewarding to help the ones who appreciate what you do. I know my niece really likes doing massage...she gets a lot out of it, it energizes her. And she likes to help people. Not to mention that the $$$ aren't too bad.

the money is great, but you are really working for it, it is very physical work.
working on the workers and doctors from 9/11 was rewarding, but I was in such a bad place at that time because I lived 16 blocks from the WTC and saw the whole thing happen, I lost two friends and I also was working around the corner from my apartment so I was absorbed in it 24 hours a day, so it was hard for my to have to seperate the shock that I was in and the trauma I was going through and have to work on people. that was a very hard time.

Have you gotten any therapy for the trauma you witnessed and endured? I hope you did, or would, if you needed to. PTSD can be very harmful if left unresolved. I work in the mental health field, can you tell? LOL!!
I am going to have to go lay my head on my pillow, or on my desk, and I am going to opt for the pillow as it is so much softer and more comfy. I am fading fast.....too little sleep for too many nights.
I have sure enjoyed chatting with you, and I will be watching for you agian sometime. Goodnight. Or rather good morning.
