Does anyone know if the talk show is going to be aired in the UK?

Afraid it will be a long time before we are fortunate to see TEDS here in the UK.
When I came back from LA after meeting Ellen, she told me to write to the TV. I did and they came back to me to say they don't have the 'rights for the show', so until that happens, it won't be shown here.
"Ellen" is on Sky and repeated every time also "The Ellen Show", but this goes back to 1997, so that will give you an idea of how long we will have to wait.
Can't wait myself, saw a few shows when I was there and it is well worth seeing.

Yeah, me too. I was in the States over the summer and couldn't believe how good the show was.
Hopefully if nothing else it will be picked up by Living or somesuch - they've had alot of success running Queer as Folk and the L Word, so they might be willing to take a chance.

As it is so popular in the US, hopefully they will pick it up for the UK.
I do hope so. It is a great live show.

There are a few countries that seem like "naturals" for picking up the programme but are either blocked, or dragging their heels. I've been genuinely surprised that the UK isn't airing it yet. After all, didn't the Sharon Osbourne show (though, yes, she is English & that helped w/ the "appeal") reach you lot & not only did it start the same time as Ellen, but her show was cancelled after just one season. Real quality stuff, that.

As I said previously, all they said was that they don't have the rights for the show at the moment.
But if you think how long it took to get Ellen on Sky, it could well be a year or more. Hopefully because she has been so successful in her first season, it may come over here a bit sooner. I do hope so. After seeing her live, would enjoy seeing her EVERY WEEK.....lol
We will get it eventually.

Over here in the uk we haven't got time to see the show as we SO MANY REPEATS of rubbishisy old programmes
I have "freeview" and we are seeing "Moonlighting" on abc, albeit I adore the old Ellen shows.
Seem them all before but I am sure royalties are keeping Portia happy
Rock on Ellen - we love you , Portia doesn't (my guess)

I discovered Ellen on freeview aswell and watch it all the time, but they're just repeating season 2 and 3, I think its been shown like 3 or 4 times.
I hope they show some other seasons.
