Will Ellen and Portia last?

Unfortunately, though we wish Ellen to be happy in her personal life, the vast majority of us (for a variety of reasons) don't seem to be in favour of the latest pairing. Something just seems to be missing but then again, we are outsiders simply looking in on a situation that we are unfamiliar w/. While they could certainly go on to surprise us, this seems to smack simply of lust & not love.

I think you are not only wrong for this poll but your signature about Ellen *dumping* Portia, like she is not a human being, like she is trash to be tossed out, is just mean. I am sorry that Ellen living her life is so upsetting to your life. Would it make you happy if Ellen just did as you wanted her to do and not what she wanted to do? Would it?
It's an odd way to show your feelings for her. I hope Ellen never sees it here on her forum. I wouldn't treat my worse enemy like you are treating someone you purport to admire.

I have to agree with that statement....I also think that it is none of our business what is going on in her personal life. We know Ellen the entertainer, not Ellen the person. Sure, we hear about all the good she does and that is what makes a lot of us like her that much more, but that doesn't give anyone the authority or right to second guess her personal decisions.

That's just my opinion.

I try to live by the motto "do no harm". Try it, even though it is a little harder to do than being judgemental,(which is sooo easy!) it really is rewarding to have high standards when it comes to how we treat/gossip about others.

I agree here that Ellen's life is her own. Whether I believe that Ellen and Portia will last is really nothing to do with me or anyone. It is Ellen's life and she will live it as she wants to.

We have our own opinion about whats going on. Ellen has her on personal life just like anyone else. We can't judge her. But we got an opinion if she stays with Portia are not. My opinion Portia IS NOT HOT like Alex. So to some of those people thats making comments about the post REMEMBER ITS OUR OPINION. As respectful fans, all we can do is show our support for Ellen & Portia. They are very much together & with such a hectic lifestyle it must be so hard to find time to just be together. I hope they last 'cause I'm sure they're trying their damdest to make a good life together!

I remember when Sting was on the show and he said that being away from his wife of 20 years (or something around that number) keeps his marriage alive and Ellen was like "Naw, I can't imagine. I always have to around the person I'm with." She's never been with someone for that long, maybe she'd like a short time-out from the relationship occasionally, too. :-D

Portia is gorgeous but Ellen is charismatic. Portia is 33, and Ellen 48. We don't know the future. The most important thing is the happiness.

You can never tell if a relationship will last, even in normal circumstances. I can imagine it is very difficult to maintain a relationship whilst it being in the public eye.

It could be possible that Portia is 'the one'... but only time will tell.

I just wish them both happiness :)

hey guys. there is a gay and lesbian station on Saturday nights over here in RI. it also airs in California and New York and across the US. its called twist. well last weekend they had a guy who was a psychic and they were talking bout celebrities and their futures and he mentioned Ellen and Portia. he said that they were going to be together for a long time and he saw them adopting a child in 2008. I'm not sure about this guy..but we'll just have to see. :)

Ellen and Portia i look st them Ellen 49 and Protia 34 and Me i'm 25 i have no clue what love is , I'm 25 and when i looke at the tow of them I know what love real mean. Gob bless them for finding each other. :) Ellen is really happy and Portia happy now that the only thing that matters. :)

I don´t know either....
I think they´re great together but as someone already said Ellen said all those things about lasting forever and beeing the one about Anne as well.
Still, there is something more special about Portia and her together.

I just hope Ellen is gonna be happy for the rest of her life ... even if it´s with somebody else. She really deserves nothing else but the greatest love and the best life in the whole world (especially after everything she´s had to go through with that whole coming out thing).
