I saw that show with Vin and even though he didn't say he was gay, he was certainly giddy and pleasant.

Your friend could be referring to wrestler/actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's interview where he said his character in "Be Cool" is a lot like he is... passionate, nice, blah, blah... a few other bs characteristics, and "a proud gay man..."

Ellen's response was one of those subdued taken-aback kinda things, but she never expounded on it.

It was really sort of funny, cause there was a rumor going around that the rock had came out, and of all shows, TEDS...
