Betty went to alex's new gallery show. I think that is really nice that Betty still keeps in touch. Do you think Alex and Ellen still talk?

I would still talk to Alex if I were Ellen. They're adults and they've shared 4 years of their lives and I don't know anything about their relationship but I don't think it was perfect when Ellen ran off with Portia. And Ellen has experienced something similar with Anne...I hope she wouldn't do that to Alex. And I agree, that is very nice of Betty.

i went to wireimage to check out the rest of the photos from her opening and it was weird to not see ellen in any of the pictures... kathy najimy was there with her daughter (who's ellens god-daughter) joely fisher (who was in ellens sitcom) sara gilbert, betty (obviously)... i wonder how ellen feels about that... left out, regretful, hmm.....

I doubt they talk, Ellen said she doesn't talk with ex g/fs. I find it kinda odd that Betty showed up( but still VERY SWEET). Maybe Betty isn't very fond of Portia? Betty looks really happy with Alex. You know what hey say" Mothers know best!

I think they do talk. But still, it'd be kinda weird for Ellen to show up. 'Cause think about it... she'd probably like to come WITH Portia, not by herself. And them showing up together for Alex's exhibit might feel a bit uncomfortable. At least now. I guess it may be too soon for that yet.

It's very nice. I think Betty who is very kind. I hope I have a friend like her. No matter what, still keep in touch.

aww...i looked her up on wireimage too and Alex is so adorable! in my opinion ellen took a downgrade in the looks department by hooking up with Portia. it's nice to see that so many people that Alex probably met through Ellen (Kathy, Joely, Betty, probablymore) came to support her gallery! The friends that don't take sides are absolutely true friends.

Also I dont think Alex who stoop low enough to talk to Ellen! I dont think they talk at all when is she ever going to talk to her when P is always on her ass everywhere she goes!

Alex looks skinnier ... A broken heart can do that to a person. I think that Betty considered Alex her daughter-in-law and loves her very much. That was nice of her to show up.

you're so right... ellen and alex together was a big part of bettys life for awhile... even in that one clip on ellens website (the welcome to the website video) when betty comes in and walks over to alex and you here alex say thank you so much and hug betty, you could tell they had a connection... my ex boyfriend who i was with for about 5 years and my mom had a connection like that and she still goes to his shows and supports him and always says she loves him as a son-in-law... i think that once moms connect with a son or daughters significant other that bond doesnt die with a breakup... betty seems like such a sweet person... i have a lot of respect for her...

Thanks for posting those pics LoveJT - I almost forgot how damn gorgeous Alex is!!! Awww sooo sweet, I wonder how the friends feel about the break up, given that they're showing up in force for Alex's event... whether they disapprove of Portia??
I guess it's easy to feel possessive after a break up - "stop talking with my mother/my friends" etc, but really, each individual bond is formed between each person, so when a breakup occurs, it doesn't necessarily mean ALL those bonds are broken. I'm so glad Betty went.

Nice to see that Betty went to Alex's show. As said previously, yes Alex has been part of Betty's life, what is now four years?

I have a similar situation with my daughter and son-in-law.... They have finally split up, but he still pops up to see me and we keep in touch. After all he was part of my life for the past fourteen years.

It is nice to keep it all amicable and I hope that Ellen and Alex can eventually talk together, and get on, but that may take time. Depends really on how they split up.
