What was your favorite episode besides "the puppy show" ? Mines was the one when Ellen and Paige kiss.
The saddest for me was when Ellen finds out her parents are getting a divorce. I also cried when they told Ellen at the Emergency Room that Lourie Was going to be OK.
The funniest for me was the one where Ellen pretends to be a exercise instructor. That one made me laugh so hard when she came out with that outfit.

I like "Salad Days" with Martha Stewart.

There was lots of very good Ellen comedy,.

Really good episode.

And i loved all the Laurie ones.

Most of the later episodes, series 3 on were excellent.

hmm there are so many that i like ill try to think of the first one that comes to my head that was funnny....
"the toast" when ellens brother gets married and ellen messes it up by accidently sayin her brother was gonna get married before then his fiance got mad....

but i love the part wen Ellen says "my moms prolly over there talkin about why im not married yet"....and it shows her mom and shes talkin to a few people and shruggin her shoulders saying "i dont know" lol

and her aunt (i think) keeps gettin lost Ellen says turn East! on a road and she keeps callin back and ellens says "NO east!" lol then a lil later in the episode Joe comes up to Ellen and says "your aunts fine shes runnin late shes stuck in a traffice jam jus west of... )lol


im not sure thats my favorite but its pretty funny...

My Favorite episode is the one where ellen acts like the mom of paige's boyfriends kid and has to explain the whole "sex" thing... it was great i was lmao!!!

i also like the "roommates" one. pretty funny. most of the eppys were great cuz ellen gave the best one-liners! hahaha

i also liked the one where ellen's dad invited her to be a part of the civil war re-enactment. that one was pretty funny. i'm really drawing a blank on my other faves.

I was cracking up last night at Will & Grace, was the one where Grace and Karen go to Leo's cabin and are getting into the double bed, kiss goodnight. Discover money under the mattress, go back to bed, kiss again.. and at the end on the way home, kiss again. I was giggling like a ... umm... like someone smacked out on laughing gas.. or would that be giggling gas...?

The best show I agree has to be "Salad Days." I laughed for days and continue to laugh! I try to ctach it when her show airs but I never do.
I think the fact that almost every person would feel the same way if in Ellen's shoes hosting a Thanksgiving feast for Martha is one that Ellen manages to convey with her ever so clever humor. :-D

I am one of those fans, who cannot make a choice of any particular episode I am afraid, I love them all - they are all great and they all make me laugh, but I have to say the Puppy Episode was great and not only made people laugh but also made a point.

There are so many episoded that I like, unable to pick any particular episode as my favourite, they are all abolutely great.

hahaha!! brilliant... although sort of a bitter sweet, as although it was incredibly funny, it was also, unfortunately the first episode to carry the parental advisory because of the above line, and the first major sign that the network was changing it's mind on where it wanted the show to go... before this, although nervous, they weren't pro-active... this was the first step of them acting towards changing/cancelling the show.

it was also, i believe, dubbed over in america... i'm pretty sure, although i haven't got a copy to check, that when i saw it, she said the line exactly as above, however, it was dubbed to
"i've never dated a wild animal"

maybe i just heard it as i it should've been said.

ach, well, i love this episode for all the breakthroughs it gave TV, however, i have a tinge of sadness, as i know it was this episode that was the start of the downfall of 'ellen' and the start of a rough time for ellen herself.

but it is one of my fave episodes - as to my ultimate favourite? i really can't pick! there's too many favurite moments as oposed to fave episodes...

They're sitting, watching the dolphins or whales, whatever it was and laurie gets splashed. At the end of the episode they showed the out take bits where they were trying to get the splashing part right.

I love 'Like a virgin'. The episode in series five where Ellen admits to Laurie that she's never been with a woman before. SO ouch, wow, ouch. It must have been really uncomfortable to do but it meant so much to so many people. I think that episode should have won some kind of gay tv award. I think the funniest was the one with Emma Thompson. :oha:

[color=green]Hi all!! I'd like to introduce myself. I recently joined this site because I'm becoming such a big ellen fan (like most of you are)! Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hope to be able to share ideas with you all.

Even though it's very hard to choose, one of the best episodes was the one with Emma Thompson: "I'm a Yankee from Ohio!" hahaha, splendid!

I also think the episode called "Neighbors" was totally hilarious. The part where she's trying to put the blow up doll back in the box and then the neighbor comes in and the doll has its hand on ellen's chest and then on her crotch but still ellen pretends like there's nothing there but of course there is and its so obvious. I was rolling on the floor with that! And then of course the whole scene where she has the chicken suit on and she's start looking for something on the floor and starts moving her legs like if she really was a chicken. hahahaha, oh god! soo funny!

Another very funny episode that comes to mind is the one where Ellen goes to the police station with Paige to try to identify the man ("the perp") that robbed Buy the Book, and she thinks no one's seeing her through the one-way mirror and she starts insulting the cops on the other side while pressing her chest against what she thought was a one-way mirror but wasn't. hahahaha!! The entire episode was sooo funny, but especially in the end when ellen acts like an undercover in order to catch "the perp" and so she has to wear a wire and she acts sooo obvious that its soo funny. "Check one, two, check check. No sign of the perp so far. Check check".

Aaaanyway, it's hard to choose among so many great episodes. Those are just some that stood out at this moment.

Welcome to the family liz.

I didn't like 'neighbours' too much, it focused completely on the antics of ellen and forgot about the other characters pretty much, like in many shows in season 5. It was funny where she dressed like the chicken though.

One episode that stands out is paige and mats wedding and where ellen walks down the aisle - step pause step pause - there and back, and then steps on paiges dress and she drags her down the aisle. oh and not forgetting the greatest ending - heart and soul.

Yes, Ellen walking the wedding aisle in that way was hilarious!! And of course "Heart & Soul"! hahahaha
ooh, and I also liked when the groom's daughter asks Ellen why she's not wearing a dress, and Ellen says something like "because I don't have to", and then the girl says that she'll not wear a dress when she gets married. That was awesome!! Rock on! 8-)

i think the ballet class was really funny. mostly the very very end when shes like " not graceful eh?" then she goes to leave the room and walks into the door. that was pretty funny.

the ballet one was also good i loved the bit at the end where she walks into the door, and also when she takes peter home to her parents - i think it is in this episode.
