Why don't you e-mail the Oxygen channel since they're the
only ones who could tell you w/ full authority on the matter?
To misrisdee,
I don't know the answer to your question, but you really want to put yourself in the shoes of your counterparts in Australia. We were lucky to get (some of) the 'Ellen' serious long after it aired in the US; however, it was all ass about face as well. Now we do not get anything on Ellen D’s work at all. The only glimpse that we get of Ellen is when we watched the delayed telecast of the awards; and I must say there wasn’t enough of her. We could buy the trashy magazines to get a peep of what she is up to, but we are about giving people a ‘fair go’ and buying those rags, are not what we are about. ENJOY WHAT YOU SEE ...I love this web site.

The Oxygen channel is like that,I taped all of the shows but they are like in different seasons. like sometimes they show show that are in season 4 before season 3 and so on. But at least they are on.

I am seeking somewhere relevant to post a question to Ellen’s Management; re how do we the Australian public get an Australian TV Station to broadcast ‘Ellen’ the talk show and to repeat ‘Ellen’ the series?
If I am going to put together an action plan, I need some industry knowledge. Otherwise, I am going to be barking up the wrong tree – and it will be no use.
If the Australia TV industry wanted to broadcast these shows, they would have already done so (you'd think) – and I am so pissed off at them for not taking up the opportunity to run such quality entertainment. Why does it take so long for the Australian TV Industry to purchase such shows? We seem to miss allot hear in Oz.
If you have some ideas, let me know

Trac, a big welcome from a fellow Aussie. *waves*
I totally agree. Our TV stations really need a big boot in the you know where. When I heard that Bert was leaving 10, I thought we MIGHT just be lucky to get Ellen in that time slot. But I won't hold my breath.
But there must me something that can be done? Maybe some kind of petition to show them that we desparately need some decent talk shows.
