I was out sick for a few days and the only upside is that I got to watch all the reruns of "ellen" on O2.

AnywayZ, the shows so funny and very well written. (I obviously havent watched it before - when it aired in '97?)

Does anyone know how it ended? last episode? was it pulled?
Oh ....DO TELL ELLEN FANS!!

They got as far as Ellen dating Laurie and touched upon ( their first time / night together) ......

Yep and I read some of the threads here
Paige was missing for a while from the show - after Ellen came out.

The show was pulled for being too gay. Ellen wanted it to end after she came out...the pupply episode, but it went another season. They (executives) stopped advertising for it and then it did so poorly in the ratings that it just quitely went away. I think the last episode is when ellens parents get re-married, renew their vows and then ellen aSKS laurie to marry her and laurie refuses and ellen is shocked, but they realize they have everything they want in a marriage in their relationship and so all ends well. The show was only on for five seasons. Hope this helps.

The actual last episode is an hour long one called "Ellen: A Hollywood Tribute". Its not really a 'normal' episode like the "Vows" one mentioned in the post before which I think was the last of the regular ones. Its a wee interview with Diane Sawyer where ellen jokily tells the story of her life.. all made up of course lol. It also has quite a few guest stars like helen hunt and julianna marguiles who take part in 'auditions' for the part of "Ellen" in a sitcom.. then ellen is spotted working at the studio and hired herself! Also people like Jennifer Aniston talking about watching the show.
Its all a huge spoof and probably sounds really weird and confusing from what i've written lol.

i saw that one it was really funny it also had Jada Pinket Smith guest starring in it too at the audition...

Ellen talks about how in the older days it wasn't apropriate for people to even say the wor "pregnant" on tv and now its no big deal at all.. So her point was that years to come it will be no big deal for people to say they are gay on tv...

i really liked how she explained it

and it goes back in time and Ellen plays the part of Lucy from " I love Lucy" and Paige is lucys friend and spence is the husband its funny
