I'm going to the show & I have a couple of questions...h

I'm hopeful someone can help me out. I have tickets to Monday's (Jan. 17) taping of Ellen. I saw where no camera phones are allowed to be taken into the taping. I have a cell phone but it isn't a "camera" phone. Will I be able to bring it in or will they confiscate it/stop me anyway whenever I enter?

The reason I ask is we're trying to decide whether to drive up to the taping or have a taxi/shuttle service provide the roundtrip transportation. If we have a taxi/shuttle take us then I was planning on calling for a pick-up after the taping is completed. If I can't take my cell phone are there payphones nearby I could use to make a call?

Is the parking plentiful if we decide to drive ourselves? How long are the tapings?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I just wanted to let you all know that I have been on the waiting list for tickets for about a year and we finally got a call from Tim at the show. We will be going in March.

I also have a few questions for people that have been there. Can you recommend a hotel in the area? I actually lived in the area for 6 months a few years ago, but didn't really notice what hotels were good or bad. Also, are you allowed to bring anything into the studio??

If anyone has any tips ( I know about getting in line early and bringing lunch) I would be very appreciative.
