Is Ellen Beth or Beebo Brinker?

Maybe i'm a bit slow on the uptake but I've just got onto the fact that Ellens gf in the show was Laurie Manning (correct?). In Ann Bannons lesbian pulp fiction books the Heroine was Laura Mann (nee Landon). Her great love was Beth and the Hero was Beebo. So who is Ellen? Beth or Beebo? Or am I just imagining a coincidence? :roll:

I think Ellen has qualities of both beeboo brinker and her great love interest. I think of Ellen as very butch, yet softened with a little feminity.

Odd Girl Out, I am a Woman, Women in the Shadows and Journey to a Woman are the 4 Ann Bannon books. Well worth a re-read.
