View Full Version : Why did Ellen lose the book store

I have just started watching re runs on ABC 1 ( UK on SKY ). I have a question which I am hoping someone will answer.
Ellen makes regular comments about how she used to own the book store but now just manages it - why was that and does it have anything to do with the plot !

Just being curious

She sold her book store in order to have money to buy her house. Hope this helps.

was that when she moved from her apartment and they showed the episode when she befriended joe's ex girlfriend?

She had already bought the house by the time she befriended Joe's ex. It's all around the same time period though. Joe's ex helped her get the building permit to put a window where the big wall had been.

they're showing season 5 at the moment but i think next week once season 5 has finished they're showing season 2 so hopefully they will go all the way through again and not cut it for new shows like they did with some other programmes.

Does anyone know the name of bookstore that ellen's owned before? is it located where? is it located in new york or in los angeles?
