upload your picture to http://www.imageshack.us/
get the link. go to your ACCOUNT-> YOUR INFO
scroll down and see "Avatar control panel". paste the link. and click submit

make sure to copy the link that has "Direct link to image" next to it.
NOT "Hotlink for forums"
