I'm sure that you'll receive a comprehensive list on this thread, but the only ones coming to mind (aside from the aforementioned) right off would be: k.d. land (singer), Liberace (pianist/entertainer), Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle/alto singer of standards), Rock Hudson (actor), Martina Navritolova (tennis ace) & Billie Jean King (ditto), the first celebrities I knew to be homosexual. There is also some famous US ice skater, but his name is currently escaping my tired mind...I'd hate to name the wrong famous one!

Ian Thorpe has actually actively and verbally addressed the gay rumors about him on numerous occaisons. He has always very graciously said that he is flattered by the "gay" label, embraces the support he receives from the "gay community", but that he, himself, is not gay, and that he gets very frustrated that people do not believe him.

I'm not a huge fan of outing people. Sure, it would be nice if we had more role models and activists, but it's no-one's place to ask/make anyone come out before they're ready to take the risks that (unfortauntely) come with being gay in modern society. We set our own path, we walk to our own pace.

Until then, I'll play the guessing game (it's always fun to guess who is and isn't), but I'll never endorse/support people like Perez Hilton who are just insenstive media whores using the names of others to make a dollar.

Has anyone suggested Kelly Clarkson, by-the-way? I hear many rumors about her...

renal failure???? that's the only one I read since it stands out to me the most. How is that contradictory? I just read that he died of it. It could from comlications of what he was in the hospital for and I do remember I think don' t quote me on it that his organs started to shut down. Is that what you're talking about? The sources are saying two different things of his passing? If you read, it should be in the report and I myself had a transplant,so I know some pass because of complications of something else. i.e Aids related problems

Renal failure was a complication becasue of the way his infection was treated and you are right the dates are all different,so they probably did not have any or did not want to share the information.

I feel sorry for Deborah Hutton - so far this week she's been outed, there is gossip surrounding a new relationship and her brother has died.

Everyone in Australia knows now. She should be left alone - the media will probably turn up at her brother's funeral hoping to get a photo with her ex or something. :(

And also theres been friends that say his overdoses on drink and drugs is partially down to struggling to accept his sexuality.
