I envy the close bond in that family with Mama Ellen and Vance. They have supported each other in many things over the years. Ellen and Vance have done a lot of work together. I think he was one of the writers on her sitcom ' ellen ' and she had one of his bands on her talk show this year. I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now. My parents and my older brother were a middle class family. We were sent to private school and my parents made sure our appearance to friends and family was possitive, respectable one. Bull****. My parents, who live 5 miles away, see my kids maybe 5 or 10 times a year. My kids forget their names. They never come to see my boys in sports or have them spend the nite except for the 2 times I went to see Ellen's show and I was going to be out of town a nite or 2.
So a family like Ellen's that has been through hard times together and not only stuck together but also are very close and supportive to each other, wow. Their a great family. Lots of love there. I so completely respect that. I hope my boys will be that close their whole lives. Right now they are very young but they love each other very much. They even tell each other " I love you ". Hope it sticks. :)

First of all, your boys are the cutest in the world. They just sound so sweet. I loved hearing they say "I love you" to each other. That's so sweet. I hope it "sticks" too.

That's horrible that your parents aren't more involved in all of your lives. That really hurts your boys not to mention you. :mad:

I can only pray that the situation will improve with time. but in the meantime you can always share your boys accomplishments and other stuff. Some of us would love to hear it.

He has his own band web site too...thefamouspies.com....they are actually really good. I saw them the last time my friend and I were in LA. If i had a scanner i could scan the picture of us with him in. It was cool. He was pretty nice; very quiet. Just sort of made his way around the room talked a little and then excused himself to leave because he had to go to the emmys with ellen the next day. My friend was taking pictures in the photo room at the Prime Time emmys he said to her maybe i will see you there. She was like ok I wish. I didnt get to go to the emmys. :evil: instead i spent the day at hermosa beach alone wandering around aimlessly. oh well in another life.

Well actually, I think Ellen is a much younger version of her mother. She looks like both of her parents and she definitely has her father's eyes, you're right. But I think she looks like her mom much moreso than her dad. Her brother looks alot like her parents too.

Ahhhhhh "little" Ellen is sooooo cute. :D Seems like I just saw that same pose the other day..I mean like nothing has changed. Big smile, shy-flirty pose, big eyes, confidence in herself. Even know it's a black and white picture you can tell her eyes are blue. whow.
