Anne Heche has some nerve! That's what friends of Ellen DeGeneres, 48, are saying about the actress who, years ago, broke the daytime talkshow queen's heart. Anne, 37, stars in the new ABC drama series Men in Trees and wanted to go on Ellen's show to promote it and get PR value from a reunion, a source tells Star People. "But Ellen firmly said no."

Way back when, it use to be. But, now, no. There good at reporting things that already happened, but as far as scoops, they are as unreliable as the Enquirer. They reported that Ellen bought Jennifer and Brad's home, and that she and Portia were going to get married last summer. None of these ever happened.

I don't put much stock in the Star, but my first thought when I read about Anne approaching her was that she must be looking for publicity even before I knew she had a show coming out. She must have known that an "encounter" seen in public, regardless of her intent or how it actually went, would lead to tabloid type publicity. I guess she hasn't changed much. Still, having been able to avoid each other for 4 years, it would be very interesting to know what each of them were thinking when they met.

im only new here and have been reading through some old forums when i found this thread. I probobly wont make myself very popular but i just have to say that ive just finished reading Anne Heches book Call me crazy( to find info about ellen of course). and i actually now feel sorry for Anne. She is so obviously mentally disturbed, she really is crazy, some of the things she writes in the book you just think-what ?? I think everyone should give her a break . Ellen really did love her at one time and Im sure she wouldnt want to hear people on a website dedicated to her being so mean to Anne. Shes not that kind of vindictive person.

Anne dumped her for a man, who was also Ellens lead cameraman for the documentary she was doing for "the beginning". She also happened to leave the moment Ellen needed her the most, cuz the series was in trouble and they were being like pushed out of Hollywood. i highly doubt anne ever asked ellen if she can be on her show. i highly doubt that they hugged each other or spoke. ellen's even said not to believe everything we read or hear until we hear from the person. star magazine either lies or over exaggerates about every star. whatever gets their magazine to sell.

as for her being friends with her ex's, she has said that she's friends with all of them, but anne walked out the door and they never spoke again. she said anne left when she had convinced ellen that she wasnt going anywhere and that they were together. i think she said that in the advocate, but i remember ellen said that. so im siding with el on this one instead of star magazine.

they were together for three and a half years. they started dating around the time that ellen was coming out. anne walked out on ellen in 2000 for a man. ellen said that man (i cant remember his name) was like a brother to her. she said anne walked out the door and they havent spoken since. then anne married this guy and they have a son together. ellen said she was really crushed, but a few months later she started dating alex hedison. they were together for i think four years. and now she's dating portia de rossi. :)

Now I understand , I saw an interview at ,I guess, Oprah, with Ellen and her, after her coming out, I thought, Anne encouraged her to come out, so it seemed like at the interview.and there was a woman in the audience, she was upset about Anne and her statements, but I didn`t understand so much,because my English knowledge is limited,Anne dated man before she got together with Ellen,didn`t she?
