Thanks for the upload. It was WAY too short. I kind of miss Ellen's old voice. It sure was sweet and innocent. During that interview, I hear the old voice and bits of her voice the way it is now.

Thanks c-dawg, that was a sweet interview. I'm glad I didn't buy Oprah's dvd if that's all it had on it with Ellen. In the past, I've tried to find a way on Oprah's website to order a copy of her interviews of Ellen and I can't figure it out. I think you can but transcrips but that's it. I never got to see those interviews. Back then I was working when Oprah was on and I didn't watch much TV. So I never new she was on it. :( I wish there was a way to get the entire interviews.

yes, i really want to have the oprah interview as a megaupload too, cause it would be so great to save it. i remember seeing this back when it aired, and being fascinated by it. i wasn't as big of an ellen fan then as i am now, but i did watch her sitcom and thought it was hysterically funny! i was 16 and not out (to myself even), but all things gay were completely fascinating to me... and i did lobby for gay rights, haha! :-) when i watch the interview now i see other things i probably didn't took notice of back then, like how obvious it is that Ellen was very affected by the statement her father and stepmother had made about her being a bad influence on her sisters. you can tell she was close to tears! :-(

those diane sawyer interviews are just so sad i had to immediately watch the ellen outtakes to make me laugh. also, does anyone agree with me that ellen's current hair style (more right at the beginning of season 4) is the same with the hair style she had in part 3 of diane's interview? :P

yea i do but here's the thing. i was trying to do it with another vid and i couldn't do it. so i got frustrated and said screw it. i don't know why i couldn't trim it and all but i just can't. you can laugh i know you wanna. i tend to get frustrated easily over things like that. i know it's weird.

At the time that Ellen came out…she was very open and honest, cuz I guess that’s all she could be and that’s what she wanted. You can feel her pouring her heart out on the diane sawyer interview, it just made me sad. On the oprah interview you could tell she was nervous because that’s a huge platform to be on. EVERYONE watches Oprah…plus its Oprah interviewing you. But as far as Anne Heche goes…I can really see how she used/manipulated Ellen for her own gain. Ellen even said on Oprah how she was suspicious at first when she met Anne cuz she’d never been with a woman before…but I guess when Anne left her Ellen prolly was pissed at herself more than anything for putting herself out like that and taking a chance with a woman who was actually heterosexual (I’m assuming). And yes, tedsmaniac…she IS an attention seeker.

The whole coming out time was almost 10 years ago…and Ellen’s grown and changed a lot over that time, even tho she was about 39 at that time. You can tell she was really naïve about the whole coming out fiasco and she even admitted that herself. So I think its good that she’s private now…I think she seems MUCH happier like that.

I just adore Ellen…and her honesty, respect for people and acceptance of all people. I think she was brought on this earth for this purpose…and she’s fulfilling it by making people happy every day.

I agree that Ellen was influenced by Anne.
It was a historical time. I heard a radio interview of Ellen long after that. She said she was glad she came out but that she would have done things differently had she not been so strongly influenced by someone in her life. She doesn't say her name but you know she's talking about Anne.
I loved the Oprah and Sawyer interviews. Ellen expressed herself in a very intellegent and respectful manner. That's why she is where she is today. She is very intelligent and recpectul. Also very driving and open hearted at the same time.

i don't think they'll work with windows movie maker if the videos are in .avi format, so that could be why

So the first girlfriend she was with...is that the best friend who showed up on TEDS last year? Remember, E was in her wedding and she is married now. In the interviews she said her first was now married.

I like Ellen alot better now that she isn't pushing an agenda. From what I've seen of the show it did get a little tiresome because of the sameness. Ellen is hillarious and I am glad she is doing the show she is doing now. She doesn't have anything to prove yet everyone knows.

I wouldn't want to be reminded everytime Oprah came on that she was living with a man she wasn't married to. And I think it's a shame when wedding pics are on every mag with a couples out-of-wedlock baby. What kind of message is that sending out about morals? They may not be able to keep their business private because of the media but at least don't flaunt it.

I agree with Lovie. I thought the same thing when she mentioned what age she was at the time she had her first experiance and the fact that the women was now married with children. On Ellen's standup anniversary show Barbara Ganashow -sp? explained how they knew each other and at what age. The two stories seem to line up. I dont think Ellen ever guessed that she would be a guest on her show (which she even said when introducing her). I think Ellen doesnt think that anyone would put 2 and 2 together after so much time. But nothing gets past us 8) Of course there is a chance that we dont know jack squat...

Thanks everyone that uploaded the interviews, I have never seen them before and it was very uplifting (and sad at times) to watch. Its nice to watch them now and know how much she did help so many people...and how much the world has changed in 10 short years. To go from having warnings before her show, to her being threatened and ridiculed to Will and Grace being the top sitcom for years and her being loved and respected by almost everyone now...its just great. She's such an amazing and brave woman.

And side note, I dont think that her best friend she talked about in the interviews is the same one that was on TEDS. Sounds like she was younger then when those 2 met.

i just watched the diane sawyer interview. WOW she looked sooooo young and sooooo happy in that interview. its really hard to watch when you know what will happen to her next i really wished she could be where she is now without the pain she had to face then.
