I don't know this person but I really think that gays or straight, when people have a big heart and are very tolerant, it's not important...
You know that Oprah Winfrey has troubles these times, because certain medias want that she tells that she has a relationship with her closed friend? I'm very uncomfortable with this story and I think that if a person (for example Ellen DeGeneres) wants to make his/her come out, it only concerns him/her...

Well most people think she is now, after Jennifer Beals inadvertantly outed her in an interview, she sad something like (she was on about love scenes) "If Im not sure about whether im doing it right I go over to Leisha,Kate or Ilene and ask am I doing this right? Anyway after this most people now think, she is gay, plus there are pictures floating around of what people think is her girlfriend, as she is always seen out with Kate.

Probably not. But I'm really astounded when I see that someone (or medias) wants to force someone to recognize his/her homosexuality, as it was a crime... I think to Oprah Winfrey. Anyway, the way how this case is treated shows very well that homosexuality is still considered like something very special... It disgusts me and that's why I would prefer that known people makes spontaneously their coming-out (or come out).

Yes, she is. In an episode of L-Word there was actually a conversation between Shane and Rosanna Arquette's character, in which they were talking about Gwyneth, and that was a tongue-in-cheek reference to Kate's real-life relation to Mrs. Coldplay.
