Once it's multi-region it'll be fine. Google the name of the dvd player and it'll tell you whether it's multi-region.

if someone wouldn't mind explaining: How are the DVD seasons labelled? Cause during the first year of ellen's show it was called 'these friends of mine', but is that DVD called 'ellen season 1'? Am I making any sense? lol

it did start out to be called these friends of mine (wasn't it kinda a spouf to Friends?).... but i think they jus decided to change the name in general

I have seasons 1 - 3 on DVD and they are playing just fine on my European DVD player. It says region 1 on their covers but I don't think they really are...

Actually if you are purchasing from the US, then they will be region 1.

Also if you have a 'multi-regional DVD player they will play in the UK or Europe. In fact all new DVD players are multi regional now. If you have an old DVD player, there is a posibility it may not play.

You can only get the DVD in the states at the present time.

I am UK and I have all seasons to date, 4 has been shipped and have ordered 5. They play OK on my player which I bought last year but not the older player that I had - it wasn't multi regional.

Just thought you would like to know.

I have watched all of the Ellen dvds so far..usually in the first three days after i am able to get them here...my friend pre ordered season 5 for me so i just have to wait for her to get it!! YAY!! Yipee!! I have all three seasons of Arrested too..but have not got around to watching them... :( I will eventually..i have a hard enough time watching Ellen from all week long between work and such...xoxoxox

hehe I just watched "G.I. Ellen" that one where Ellen's dad is General Grant in a reenactment of the civil war, and Ellen wants to be a soldier, much to the dismay of the other men who are there. I was just wondering if those salto's and things she did on that branch was that realy she or a stand in?

I did recently watch it and it's really entertaining. Though I must say that I prefer Ellen the sitcom.
Somehow the whole cast in the sitcom seems more united and really creates a sense of unity throughout the seasons, seems a bit more dynamic. Hmm.. Just different I guess... although the opening to the Ellen show is very creative, really like it.

How did they air the episodes?

There's one episode called the "Break Up" where obviously they break up, then another ep called the "The Funeral" where they are back together.. and then "Womyn Fest" where it talks about them breaking up again! None of it makes since or is in order... so I was just wondering.

And also, what episodes did they not air?
They have all of them on the DVD, thankfully.
