New to the board... well sorta

Hey all u all!! (plural of u all - I learned that from Ellen :cool:)

I've been a lurker of this board for several months now not working up to courage to actually participate your discussions and random ramblings. But u all seem to have way to much fun for me not to get in on it. .. so her I go :)

I had never really been a fan of Ellen (I actually hardly knew who she was :oops: sorry but she's is relatively unknown in Sweden, although now her talkshow is on here) until I caught her One Night Stand-HBO special on TV while I was an aupair in the States last year. It was late at night and everyone else was sleeping in the house and I had to try not to laugh to loud. It was wicked hard as it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen.

Now I am back in Sweden preparing for a year or more in Australia. And one of the things that has made my time back home bearable is Ellen and everything I can find with and about her online. I think she is one of the cutest, funniest and kindest people in show business. I only wish we would get to see more of her.

OK, enough of my rambling.. I just wanted to introduce myself and quit being this creepy person eavesdropping on you guys. :P

Once again, thank you all for all your nice messages. I do feel very welcome here, and I will try to post without making a complete fool of myself. Although I might already have done that, totally objectifing Ellen in my first post. But what can I say? She's very hot in a tie! 8)

Also, are there any Australians on this board? I would love to get in contact with some girls down under as I am moving to Sydney in less than a month and a half and would like to get know some more about what to do there.

Let me teach you some southern slang for "you all".

Down here in the south of the US we say "ya'll". You probably won't need this in Aussie-land though but if you ever visit Texas or Louisiana it will help!

Thank you, I have seen that spelling before. But to me that would sound more like "why all" Hehe... but once and for all I'm gonna start believing what I am actually reading. I remember when I was driving through the south last summer, I could her that I got closer to Texas just by how the hotels answeared their phones. My boyfriend at the time just made fun of it, but I was loving it. But I'm a country girl myself, so I think it's cute!! 8)

Wow, the language skills on this board are amazing!! I am impressed. And to be honest... all the swedish you need to know when you come here is "jag älskar sverige"... We love it when foreighners compliment us. We have a very small ego. LOL

I just came back from a short visit to France to visit a friend and to see Madonna in concert. The concert was great but there was a lot of problem around it, and I can't tell you how glad I was to see Stockholm once I came back to Sweden.

But I am sure I would have loved Paris more without all the problems, and if I had actually made to the Eiffel-tower. :cool:
