Sorry, but this feels sort of weird to me because Steve just seemed to care alot about animals he was just such a great activist that its hard to even think that he is no longer among us...I learned so much about nature from all of his specials and he will be missed.

It's so sad. My dad just called me and told me. It's crazy... I never thought he would actually die doing his work but I guess it really was a risky job...

So sad. Gone at 44, and leaving a wife and two wee kids. The world will be a poorer place without Stevo.

Thoughts are with his family.

He had a big heart. He truely loved life. This shows us how quickly life can be here and then gone, with out any warning.
I feel so sad for his wife and kids.

What a great man the world has lost. I can't believe he's gone I've grown up watching Steve on the TV and I know his legacy at Australia Zoo will be carried on by wife Terri and two beautiful children.

Rest in Peace Stevo xxx

Dad just told me... I was gone all day so I didn't know. Damn, I LOVED that guy. My friend did a great impression of him too... "G'day everybody, today on the Crocodile Hunter we're gonna be lookin at the ferocious JORDAN. Blimey, look at those teeth!" Ugh... I feel tears coming now. :( :(

It shows how much Steve meant to everyone around the globe. Not many people personally knew him, but I'm sure alot of us either grew up watching him or just loved to watch his shows. Instead of the days conversation being on Iraq or events that have happened in our local areas, they are of Steve Irwin. It seems so unfair for the world to have lost a great man.

i heard about this the other day and i almost started crying. i loved this dude, i used to watch him on animal planet all the time and his wife was real cool too. i feel so bad for his family now, and his poor kids.
he will remain in all of our hearts as a brave man who died doing what he loved.
RIP Steve.

BINDI Irwin has taken centre-stage at Steve Irwin's memorial service, calling the Crocodile Hunter "the best daddy in the world" and pledging to continue his work, as fans said their last goodbye.

i couldn´t believe it, when i first heard it - never thought he would die that way! will miss him! sometimes after watching some of his shows i was chasing my cat through my apartment in steve irving style, while yelling: "wow, what is this - look at this littel fellow" - think my cat didn´t find it as funny as i did ! (but she always forgive me!! )

a couple of articles on Bindi's future appearences in the US.

http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h319/1998deb/bindiirwin.jpg

http://www.theage.com.au/news/people/bindi-to-join-wiggles-in-us-extravaganza/2006/12/09/1165081185819.html

http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2006-12-07-coming-attractions_x.htm?POE=LIFISVA

I found another article that criticized her mom for an 8 year old doing all this.

-I guess if eight year-old Bindi wants to do all this, more power to her. It just kind of screams cheesy to me for Bindi to put out an exercise video, to tour with the Wiggles, and to star in a TV show. Shouldn’t her mom be trying to balance her performance schedule so it’s not so hard on the elementary student? From what I understand she taped most of this when her dad was alive, but it still seems like too much for a little girl.-

Personally, I think it's great if she wants to do all this and be like her father. I didn't watch him much myself. I couldn't stand to listen to his voice and exaggerated inthusiastic tone even though I always thought of him as a decent man doing good things for animals. If Bindi wants to do it let her. It seems to be her passion too. She will have a wonderful future ahead of her.
