I was just doing a search for the production company that produces TEDS, A Very Good Production. And on IMDB it says that it has only produced two things, TEDS and In the Dog House (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489498/) - an 8 minute "movie" written and directed by and starring Alex. It says that it was made in 2005, but perhaps it was made the year before and not released until after the breakup. I find it strange that Ellen's production company would be involved otherwise.
Have any of you guys heard of this movie and knows what it is about? It would be interesting to see it.

have not seen it, but here is the synopsis of someone who has seen the movie...
Here is the review of the short film "In the Doghouse". The film was 7 minutes long.
Rachel Harris plays Jen.
Mark Kelly plays Joe.
Alex narrates the voice of Maggie the dog (a Beagle).
The film starts out with some pan shots of some photos of Joe and Jen and in the background is a voice over- saying "Relationships are tough. You spend your life with someone...and you never think they will betray you..." etc
Then you see Joe and Jen in bed, in the dark. Jen is wearing some type of lingerie thong contraption and she is sitting on top of him...ya know...like :doin it:. lmao. The dog, Maggie is on the floor to the side of the bed, and as they are getting into it, she is growlilng and barking and generally being a pain. Then, something happens (hard to tell if the dog jumps up on the bed) but it causes Joe to fall out of bed.
The next scene is daylight, Joe is in bed with his knee is in a brace, and propped up on a pillow, with Maggie by his side, and he is petting her as they watch the Newlywed game. An old episode, like when Bob Eubanks was still alive. Joe looks very content. Then Jen enters...she's wearing a bathrobe...and when she sees him there with the dog watching that lame show, you hear this voice narrating saying "How did things get to be like this? It used to be great. We spent time together. We communicated. We were honest." Then Jen goes into crazy mode and starts building a fortress around the bed with chairs and pillows, etc. Joe is talking... "I told the doctor how I tripped over the dog...I'm supposed to keep my leg elevated" while the voice over is saying "Oh yeah, blame it on the dog. Does he think I'm stupid? Cause I'm not..." as Jen continues to build the fortress around the bed. Joe continues with "Are you mad at me? Come on! You're freaking me out!" And Jen just ignores him and continues with her mission. The voice over says "He obviously needs something I can't give him. Ya know, he doesn't give me everything I need either...what about me, what about my needs, something has to change, this isn't fair to me" etc.
Finally Jen takes the remote and turns off the TV. She says to Joe "So you wanna tell me how you twisted your knee?" and he tries to reason with her, to which she replies "That's NURSE Jen" and she whips off her robe and is wearing a pair of boxer shorts, a little tank top and a stethescope around her neck. She climbs into bed and grabs a little nurses cap (LMAO) out of the night table drawer. Joe is trying to say he can't because of his knee. Jen tells him his knee will feel better once he has her over it! As the voice over continues, you realize it is the dog's POV, not Jen's. The voice over has been Maggies the whole time...she continues saying "Not again! Can't she keep her paws off him for a minutes?? These two are worse than monkeys". Jen proceeds to put Maggie behind the barrier so she and Joe won't be disturbed this time. Maggie protests "Hey this is my house too! Before you came along that was my bed. So I humped his leg a little- she does it- she doesn't get punished!" As they start getting it on...Jen throws Maggie a bone...and Maggie is like "mmm...thats a good bone! I'm so mad...but this is a good bone!!" And Maggie seems to forget all about Joe...and Jen...
The movie ends with a close up shot of the goldfish in a bowl...the goldfish is saying "Look at her...that little nurse number- HOT! Almost makes me wish I had hands. She's killin me over here. Man, she doesn't even know I exist anymore. I used to be everything to her- she fixed me some flakes, watched me swim through the castle...those were good times."
Then it fades out.
