Anne Heche - Opinions?

Alright. I've come to realize that a lot of members here really don't like her, some don't really care, and some like her. So I wanna know what your opinion of her is, and do elaborate on why you think what you think.

I personally don't see why everyone hates her so much. What happened between her and Ellen was years ago, and should be put in the past and forgotten about. No one got murdered. I think it's silly that people still hold that against her.

I don't really pay attention to her.

The first thing that comes to my mind hearing the name is: 6 days, 7 nights

The second.....Ellen.

I personnaly don't understand why people hate her so much. She stayed with Ellen for three years, which is long time, especially for Hollywood, and if she was good enough for Ellen to love her during those years than I can't imagine her being that bad... I also respect her because I think she did a great deal for the gay community while she was with Ellen.
Some people might say that all she wanted was to draw attention to herself, boost up her carrer a little, but it was far from being a good thing for her career, she missed out on a lot of good roles for a while because of being considered gay as I understand it.
And as for her breaking Ellen's heart, people move on sometimes don't they ? It's just the way it is. And, incidentelly, didn't Ellen do kinda the same thing to Alex ? :oops:
Sure, she does seem slightly off her rockets sometimes but that makes her more pityable than hateable to me...

Has anyone seen her new show Men In Trees? Is is worth watching? She's done a couple of good indie films Walking and Talking and Pie in the Sky. Her small role in Proof was okay. In my opinion she's just a so so actress. I only watched her movies because she was dating Ellen at the time and they made a good couple. Other than that there's not much to say about her without rehashing the embarrassing summer of 2001 for Ellen.

i guess its a good teds isnt around anymore cuz she would rant and rave for hours on this subject.let me see mmm broken heart,public humiliation,ridiculed by the press not to mention tons of i told you so......six years later ,dr, mommy heche still trying to get attention with her daughter`s long passed love affair ,the daughter still talking on national tv about the relationship.......the trouble with celestia of fruitcake land is that she is still riding the ellen publicity wave .its not the broken relationship that people havent forgotten ,its what happened after .dont you young ones ever forget that.its one thing to leave your partner ,that happens all the time,but its another to publicly humillate her for years and years .(is that ok teds????? )

About "Men in Trees"...I saw one episode and it was pretty much...painful. haha. Not worth watching, in my opinion.

I've seen Men in Trees. I thought it was OK, maybe a little dry, not the best thing I've ever seen her in. I like her work in film much better. I don't really care one way or another about her, although I thought her book was absolutely and completely insane, and maybe even a little inappropriate (like, I REALLY didn't want to hear about her and Ellen's first night together). I can't believe that after all these years, people still feel as strongly as they do about the end of that relationship. I mean really, we all have had our share of relationships that we thought were the ONE and then they end seriously ugly. All I'm saying is let it be...Ellen is now in her 2nd relationship since then.

I watched some of the premiere and could not get into it. As far as Anne goes, I can care less. I am sure a lot of people here do not like Anne because of what happened with her and Ellens relationship. I agree that it was messed up what happened, but like somebody else said here, it seems Ellen did the same thing to Alex. But then again, we only know what we hear. I am a fan of Ellen and honestly can care less about Anne, Alex or Portia. Ellen is happy, that is great. I am sure other things make Ellen happy, not just her relationship. There are some people here that seem to be obsessed with her current realtionship. I find it a bit strange really. I am sure I just pissed a few people off saying that,but that is my opinion.

I agree with you rayoflight76. I don't care who Ellen dates, it's her life and her business, not ours. I'm a fan of Ellen's for her work, not her personal life.

Actualy I do dislike Anne since the first time I met her(we did not get introduced dough) in Dublin back years ago must be 99 or 2000, she was sitting a table away from my than girlfriend and myself, she was still dating Ellen.... You see it's something to do with the way she talks and seeks attention (back than already).... Maybe just , I am a very nervous person (a real nerve raque) ... my nerves are the reason tha I loose easly of weight (I do eat quite a lot dough, still I loose weight).... And I remember her enoying voice and fast (speed) talking and attention seeking, working realy hard on my nerves.... I actualy left the place for a while because of it.... Tha's also the reason why in the first place I did not like Ellen neither... I only learnt to apreciate here quite a bit later and now I kind of look up to her...

It's only when I kind off crushed onto Portia and went to look for more information about her tha I find out she was dating Ellen... Curious, I did take a look at wha she was doing and tha's how I got to look up to her.... I find quite a lot of myself into her (not about the out coming part, as I were out quite young -9 years old)... which I find quite intriging.... and which learns me wha I want and wha I shouldn't be doing....

I dont like her. I loved Ally McBeal and I hated how she played the character there. With some people it's like you just know you dont like them and dont even know why. She could be the nicest person on earth and I'd still would not wanna be in one room with her.
