Rosie is calling Kelly Ripa a homophobe after her remark to Clay Aiken when he put his hands over her mouth...now I am not a huge fan of Ripa but I think that Rosie calling her a homophobe is just way out of line.

hahahaha!!!!!!!finally the world is getting to see the real rosie !!!!!!completly off-kilter ,man sometimes i wished that she was straight cuz she gives gay people a bad name ,she should learn to lighten up,not everything is gay vs straight .that dude did a very rude thing and kelly`s comments were well deserved.if he had done that to rosie she would have punched him .LONG LIVE THE QUEEN OF SMART DECENT AND RESPECTABLE LESBIANS EVERYWHERE !!!!!!!ELLEN DEGENERES!!!!

i think rosie turns too many things to an antigay debate. i watched some cplis of her on youtube and such and things that i don't even think have anything to do with gay or not gay, she finds something in them to tell everyone that they're homophobic.
same with clay aiken. sure what he did was far from nice and not something people might usualy consider good manners (although in his "defense" i think he was just trying to be funny), but i also think that what kelly said had nothing to do with him being gay or not. heck, i can think of more disgusting places a straight man's hands might have been than a gay man's hands (if we assume that gay guys usually devote more time and effort in their hygiene that is).
I actually watched this on 'The View' today since I was too lazy to change the channel. Rosie was sure upset about Ripa remarks that they called her on the phone. I really though there was gonna be a major feud on the show.
I never liked Ripa and believe that Regis should start putting his hands over Ripa's mouth to get her to be quiet once in awhile... it seems that her mouth never stops! The ladies certainly came up with some good ideas! :ol:

I know, I saw that segment this morning. I grimanced and said "Oh no, no Rosie"
I do not think what Kelly Rippa said was a homophobic statement. I think that when Rosie overreacted to what was said was more terrible. I am not sure that Clay Aiken had actually "came out" about anything. So Rosie publically "outing" him was totally disrespectful and unprofessional. I really liked Rosie, but now i think she should be fired. I think she has gone to far. I liked watching the veiw, because of Rosie on it (and i have a bit of a crush on Elisabeth--lol) but i am not going to watch it anymore.
My view,
Kate B.
P.S.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ELLEN JUST FOR BEING YOURSELF. DARN IT, I LOVE YA!!!!!
I also think she was out of line, not necessarily for what she thought, that's her opinion (though I didn't get that feeling when I watched it), but for thinking she could just throw an accusation like that out there. I say good for Kelly Ripa for calling her on it. Rosie seemed surprised when she called in. What makes her think that just because she prefaced her remarks with "I love Kelly Ripa" that it was ok for her to assault this woman's reputation and label her homophobic? Kelly Ripa did a good job of turning the tables on her. It was Rosie who came off looking ignorant. She tries to portray herself as light, easy going, funny etc., but she sounds and acts angry/bitter about every/any thing. The look on her face when Kelly hung up was like how dare she call here, sarcastically adding and now I'm in a celebrity fued. .....Rosie's got issues!

Watching that video... Rosie totally overreacted! ... Infact she actually annoyed me.
That wasn't a homophobic comment... it was a joke! The same sort of joke I would make if ANYONE put their hand over my mouth - no matter what their sexuality.
i think rosie turns too many things to an antigay debate
I agree.

I totally agree w/Humanafterall (except for the crush on what's her name) and everyone else who feels Rosie was way outta line.
I saw Entertainment Tonight when they played it and was pretty surprised that Rosie said what she said. I think Kelly had every right to call Rosie on her accusation. I'm sure it's not the end of this feud...

oh dear oh dear oh dear lol.
Kelly's comment was obviously totally misconcieved by Rosie, what a boo boo.
It does kinda show that Rosie may not be totally comfortable with her own sexuality, if shes that touchy about things like that. :sigh:  :stern:

Hey PinkDevil, that 1st article u posted from People has a vote button...it's showing over 80% for Kelly....thanks for the articles.
:-P
i never really liked rosie she just says stuff without thinking and is taking the "I'm gay" think kinda far yeah we know she is gay but not everything someone says is homophobic or anti-gay. This is just another time that rosie does something that is well just rosie if you kow what i mean

I thought this whole deal was ridiculous! first of all - I think Ripa was being ridiculous! she shouldn't take it so seriously! BUT - I don't think that Rosie is right either! I mean, come on.. I don't believe that Ripa is a homophobe.. I really don't - she's a really darling person and I love her work!
I love Rosie too, but I think she overreacted!
I think they both took this too far!

Is it bad that I don't have a clue what this whole thing is about but I know Kelly from Hope and Faith so I'm going to take her side because I think she's hot? :D

Clay hasnt ever said he's gay, so why is Rosie calling Kelly a homophobe? Isn't that a little disrespectful to Clay...?

I think Rosie jumped to the wrong conclusion - she is such a strong person & no doubt used to "gay bashing" during her life, so she gets very defensive when she thinks it's an issue. It sure wasn't on this occasion & good on Kelly for ringing up during the Show to calmly & logically explain her point of view - well done. Hopefully it can now be put to rest.

I was watching the view when rosie made the comment that if clay aiken was a straight man Kelly wouldnt of cared... but Clay has never said he was gay sooo... Rosie making assumtions is soo wrong! not once did Kelly mention anything about his sexuality... but Rosie did... Sooo i think Rosie has no real grounds to go on...

My goodness, Rosie WAS NOT TRYING TO INSULT Asian people, she was saying how the fact that Danny Devito had been drunk on the View was making news around the world. She was not trying to make fun of Asians. Why are there so many people out there that just want to attack every time something is said that has the potential to be taken the worng way?? It is so obvious that she is just stating Devito is making news around the world. She doesn't have some twisted revenge plotted against Asians where she wants to insult their language. Grow up...life is too short to live it always trying to find a means to argue about NOTHING. Try PEACE :)
