hi, i'm new here. since 1997 i am a fan of ellen. eventhough she wasn't on dutch tv. i saw her on vacation in canada. i have a question: why can't we buy the dvd's in the netherlands? i know it has something to do with regions (or something like that) but i know for sure that there are a lot of fans in the netherlands who would love to buy the dvd's of "ellen". so hopefully someday soon the dvd's will be availible in the netherlands.

We can't buy the DVDs here in the UK either and there are many uk fans not too happy bout that as well!!

i had a bit of trouble finding an affordable region free dvd player - but there are many out there. plus region 1 dvds are often released much earlier than region 2 so its a good investment!

And cos of UK taxes its actually cheaper to buy american dvds - i dunno bout how much they are in the netherlands...

i have an older dvd player. i just tried and it actually played them. the new one in our living room also plays them although the manual says it wouldn't.
