i just saw that episode and it made me cry because of the reaction of ellen's boss and a little bit about the way paige reacyed at first but at the end she made it all good.

The storyline of this episode came from what happened to Ellen when she was 19 I'm pretty sure. Her Dad and his wife had little girls and they told Ellen to move out because they didnt want her to "influence" the girls, or whatever.

The show was really sad, but the 20/20 interview was worse. It definately made me cry to see Ellen cry and to see her so hurt. Its just a sad thing overall especially because Ellen is such an amazing person and loves kids and I'm sure they loved her too.. and for her to have to move and not see them. Its terrible.

i saw it. i wonder what ellen's reaction was on the death of jerry falwell. does anyone know? i mean this man was crazy. not because of what he said about gays bur also that the world is not older than 3000 years. that made me laugh out loud. but also sad because there are people who believe that now.

What her dad did was hurtful but i think he may be scared and probably made bad decision to kick out your own kid.....but that was a long time ago. i hope they still keep in touch....Father's Day coming soon....I miss my dad :(

when i came out of the closet my dad was already having alzheimer's. and in a hospital. a few months later he died. that was over 15 years ago. i sometimes wonder what he would have said about me being gay. i was always a daady-girl but i don't think he would have liked the idea of his only daughter being gay.but i will never know. sometimes i miss him too. like when my mom died almost 2 years ago and my father in law last year.

yeah if seen it and its very sad.When Ellen starts crying , it made me very sad.Its so sad that such an amazing and great Person like Ellen is , must handle such terrible things.I wished it had been easier for her to came out.
