I have it and I like it a lot! I wish it had gone on longer, but maybe it was for a reason because if she had that show she wouldn't have the show she has now, which is awesome!!! Her talk is the best thing she's ever done!

I have it and just recently watched it for the second time. It is not as funny as "Ellen", although it is funny. Cloris Leachman is a hoot and Ellen looks better than EVER. Absolutely GORGEOUS! Hell, it's worth watching, just for that reason!!

I have it and love it too! I think it is hilarious, but like you all said, not as hilarious as "Ellen" was. She did look great though, and Cloris Leachman is soooooo funny!!! Her and the girl who plays her sister are so good! They are both so ditsy...in the show, not in real life obviously...lol! Ellen seems like the only smart one in the family:p! And the lady that plays Pam is really good too! She's on Reno 911 now, but I've never watched the show.

I have the complete first and sadly only Season. I havent seen all of the episodes yet , but from what I`ve seen I must say this show is hilarious and I dont understand why they canceled it.

A friend gave me the DVD set, so if anyone is interested, I do have VHS copy of the show. Just pay the postage and packing and its yours.

Yup i got it on DVD and seen it. I watched the whole thing in like 2 days cos i couldnt get enough....I thought it was brill, altho i can see how there wouldnt have been many places they could take the script if they were to do a 2nd season. Ellen is fantastic as expected....i also liked the other characters....in general they all just gelled really well and worked off one another. At least we have ellen everyday now tho ;)

I got the DVD's off ebay along time ago, I agree, it is a fantastic show!!! I loved Walden Pond and the episode where Ellen is acting princable. LOL that one was hilarious! I especially loved that episode because near the end, she's swinging from a door way and most of her belly shows. hehe

It was such a funny show. I have the whole season as well, and I have watched the episodes a few times. It's too bad they cancelled it after the first season. And I recently started watching Arrested Development, and the first thing I noticed as well was that both shows were created by Mitchell Hurwitz...he totally has good taste!

I have to say, I would rather watch Ellen everyday though, then to watch her once a week....

Her mom and her sister... just off the wall... and Ellens reactions... it was just cool to see her in a different character than "Ellen Morgan" and the episode with her on the roller skates was hilarious. Actually they are all hilarious. It was such a good show and its not because I like Ellen, it was really funny... Little things happening here and there and sometimes if you didnt pay attention, you'd miss it... and the episode about the kitty! Where is the kitty (same one as the Betty White one)! hahaha Its great! Ya'll should watch it! Mary Tyler Moore does an appearance so does Vance and Mama! Love it!

I love the home ec teacher... the one after the pilot. She's on Reno 911 now and is my favorite character. The kid in the second episode is on Bones now too. I like The Ellen Show a little better than Ellen because it seemed to have a little more structure and direction. There was room for the character to grow... which is what I liked bout the 4h and 5th seasons of Ellen... but The Ellen Show started out like that... plus the whole cast was frickin genius (like that kid she counsels who falls in love with her... hilarious). I'm glad you guys brought this up, I'm going to go back an watch my DVDs again. If anyone's looking for the set, I bought it at Circuit City about a year ago... I bet they still sell it at other major media outlets.

haha yeah! They were so addicted to Judge Judy and they would eat dinner during JJ and so Ellen wanted to have them have family meals so she recorded the east coast feed and they all decided to change dinner to that feed instead... "Dinner!" (Which we call supper here in Iowa) :) Tivo... took them awhile to get it but this show should not of been canceled! Good stuff.

Okay I have a question for those who have the DVD set.

I watched the entire season on tv. but I remember hearing that the show had taped 13 episodes, but the network only aired I think 10 or 11.

So on the DVD set, does it have all the episodes, including the ones that didn't air.

I own them all too. What my problem is, like right now I'm watching The Ellen Show and I'll watch it over and over and over and over and over again until I get sick of it. I always put a DVD in when I go to bed and fall asleep with Ellen... then when its time to change, I'll go to "Ellen" or "Friends" and I just watched "Friends" all the series, twice, so "Ellen" will be next. Then I'll probably go to "Will & Grace"... I have all of those too... But I just dont get why they canceled The Ellen Show, it is soooo funny! Her family is just hilarious (Cloris Leachman). I have to admit, I could almost say I like this series more than 'Ellen'. There were more of 'Ellen' though, so I guess it seems better?

I like the fact that she was already 'out' and could play a gay character without it being all about her relationships. Although, the first 1-2 seasons of 'Ellen' were my favourite, until season 5 when she was out. I guess seeing her with guys seemed ... awkward? Haha.

I just ordered 'The Ellen Show' on DVD - should be getting it soon!
I wish it went longer... but my favourite memory of the show, from when I last watched, was when she's trying on the dresses. Some pins on that gurl!!

SAN DIEGO: The lifestyle and entertainment network WealthTV is set to air several never-before-seen episodes of Ellen DeGeneres's comedy series The Ellen Show.

Through an agreement with Sony Pictures Television, WealthTV has picked up the rights to air all 18 episodes of The Ellen Show, including five episodes that have never aired on television. The first unseen episode will be broadcast on February 23 on WealthTV, and the series will air on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 9 p.m.

"The broad appeal of Ellen's sitcom is not only bringing in the laughs for our customers, but also introducing more television viewers to WealthTV's unique lineup," said Robert Herring, Sr., the CEO of WealthTV. "Ellen fans will enjoy seeing the funny lady at her best, delivering great line after line in this hilarious sitcom."

It may depend on the provider.

I did a little looking around and I can't find a website for a cable company that carries it.

It sounds like it is meant to be part of a cable plan rather than being a premium channel.

It doesn't appear to be broadcast over the air though, so it wouldn't be free as such.
