The SAG (Screen Actors Guild) awards are on tonight and I can't remember if Ellen is going to be there. Does anyone know?

Yes. Ellen is presenting. And Portia is going to be there because Arrested Development is nominated. So watch the red carpet arrivals for some juicy interviews! You can watch the arrivals on E! and the SAG awards on TNT. The arrivals start in 10 minutes (5:00pm). and the show starts at 8:00pm on the west coast. ENJOY THE SHOW!

Yeah it has already showed Ellen a couple of times and she did a red carpet interview prior to the show. Also, Portia looks good tonight. I have basically come to the conclusion that if we would have never known about Alex we would all think Portia is perfect for her and gorgeous. So...on that note...yes i vow to start appreciating Portia for the hottie that she is. :) Have a good night everyone!

Thanks. i just think that if the situation was opposite (if Ellen had just broken up with Portia for Alex) we'd all be like, "Who is this Alex and we all miss Porta, etc." However, perhaps i am wrong...it's happened once or twice before. :)

No not together. Also, the SAG awards arranges seating by cast so they are not sitting together but really neither are any other couples where both members of the relationship are nominated for an award.

they're re-airing the show. she presented about maybe 45 minutes -- one hour into it.. thats about right now for us east coasters... so check it out! if you missed it again, TNT will probably show it again and again over the next couple of days.

Thanks for the info, but I just saw her present the award... of course, she was freaking hilarious.... and she looked GREAT! Absolutely stunning! I just love those suits she wears... I just can't see her in a gown... AT ALL.

I thought Ellen was great tonight. And if you look closely..when ellen is giving the award to the " desperate housewifes" you can see Portia smiling at Ellen.
And i thought Portia looked very stunning tonight. :)

I am confused as to why they don't arrive together to these award shows. We all know they're together so why not just face the music and walk down the red carpet??? What's the deal here? It seems a little juvenile for them to play these stupid games of "we 'll be seen together here but not there".

just checked and am pleased to say that the SAG's are showing next sat@6pm on living tv. we may have to wait here in the uk but at least we do sometimes get to see a glimpse of ellen.

i guess it's a strategy to avoid questions about what they did ( to alex and francesca).
i think hollywood execs. don't like cheaters, or that famous/infamous statement no trird part involved woudn't be publish. it was happen when ellen split to anne and every one knows that was a third part(cooleman lafon, now anne's husband) to say the least, anne merge after cheating ellen. and anne is a talented actress more than p. is

I think Anne is a great actress!! Portia... I haven't seen her act yet... don't really want to...

One thing that allen mentioned... about "the third party" thing. THat is sooo right! There was no mention about there being NO third party involved. So Portia must have been the reason for the split... I think we all already knew this but.... I'm slow.....

I agree about Anne being a good actress. I have seen her in a few shows AND she is also a very attractive lady, way more attractive than Madam P.
I TRIED to watch AD last night out of curiosity and I thought Miss P's acting was average plus I couldn't really get into that show so bye bye AD for me.

Allen - I think you are right about why they did not show up together on the red carpet. But it is still a lame excuse. Everyone knows they are living in sin, dumped their lovers and both craving for the limelight. I have a sneaky feeling they themselves chose not to appear together. For heaven's sake who is to stop them? Ellen's a superstar now in Hollywood. No one dares to challenge her except the bouncer at the People's Choice Awards after party. :lol: I think these two are shit scared of the questions Star Jones will throw at them and shred them to bits. I reckon it is about time they grow up and face the music. Why shouldn't they sit at the same table? Ellen wasn't nominated so she could sit with her gf is she wanted to but she chose not to because again of the media interest.

Oh! What the heck! Let them be!. They are a waste of time and energy. Playing Tom and Jerry with the media and public is no fun when we all know who IS THE ONE who's got the cream.

Award show on tv tonight, and lovely bit of Ellen presenting the award for the nomination of Portia's show. Coincidence... eh. Good bit of Ellen though.

After watching two episodes of AD, not surprised that it didn't win. Just couldn't get into it at all. Many better shows on tv than that one.

To comment on other posts, I have to agree that Anne has portrayed as a much better actress in films than Portia has on this show. I am not biased towards Portia in any way, but her very short appearance on the screen the two times I saw her did nothing for me - only watched it because everyone was going on about the show, but I won't be watching it again.

Feb 27th for UK boardies, is the 77th Academy Awards on Sky 1 at 7 p.m.
