Does anybody know if she is gay??
I know there are rumours that she is, but did she ever comment on that?

She's sort of hinting towards it a few times...
But I haven't heard of her actually coming out.
So until then, I will do her a favor and not speculate =D

I went and saw Wanda in SF about 2 weeks ago. At a very small comedy club. She was pretty funny. She mostly talked about funny things that had happened in her life.
One story she told was when she had her passport stolen. She was at a bar with a bunch of girlfriends in NY and there was this woman there who sang karaoke (horribly). Wanda talked about how she had her purse sitting on a chair. When the woman was finished singing, she left the bar and Wanda's purse was gone. So, Wanda and a friend chased after this woman...The police got involved.
Long story short (too late, I know). A couple of days later, her friend called her and said. "Are you alright? The paper said you were mugged by a she/man." Wanda cracked up. I guess a friend of hers knew some guys at the police department and because Wanda was at a lesbian bar in NY, the police changed the story in order to "protect" her.
So, is she gay? I don't know. Has she attended a gay bar? Yes.
She also talked about her traveling companion while in South America and I got the impression it was a woman. But on the other hand, her sexual jokes all gave me the impression she was talking about being with a man... I do know that she is divorced.
And, while were on the topic... That night, the comedian who opened for Wanda was heckling me (I was sitting in the front row) and told me that I could be ellen degeneres' body double and that he could just see me dancing on her stage. If he only knew how big a fan I am of ellen's. It was pretty funny.
I also recently saw "tongue untied" that is a good one of Wanda's.
If Wanda comes to your town, and you have the chance to see her, it was definitely worth the $70 ticket for me. But then again, I don't get out much.

Oh, Wanda's nose was runny and I handed her a napkin so she could blow her nose... She was also wearing BEAUTIFUL diamond stud earrings.

I absolutely love Wanda Sykes! She is my second favorite comedian after Ellen! Of course, nobody comes close to Ellen in my opinion, but Wanda Sykes is hilarious! I have her Sick and Tired DVD and it's awesome! I also have her book that I bought last summer, but I still have yet to finish reading it all! Between going to school, work and being here on the internet and watching Ellen all the time, I do not have time to read it, but I will finish it one day soon! I love her every time she's on Ellen's show, especially Ellen's b-day show this year.
Laugh!,
