Hey everyone!

Is anyone here a fan of Sarah McLachlan's? I was just wondering cause I'm a huge fan! I love her music and think she has a beautiful voice. I love to listen to her when I'm done in the dumps or depressed!!! Her music is very cathartic in a way for me! I also love how she's a friend of Ellen's. Well, a lot of people post topics about other people besides Ellen on here so I thought I would and get your opinions on Sarah McLachlan.

I also love Sheryl Crow and Terri Clark (female country singer who wears a cowboy hat...you may have seen her before).

Laugh!,
Nicole :-)

Hi tcsced! :) I deffinitely love Sarah McLachlan...she's amazing and her music has been my therapy for lots of ups and downs...Her voice is just incredible...and i've always admired ppl that can write lyrics with such deep message under it...my absolute favourite is Angel...And when i saw her live on vh1 story tellers...she told what she was thinking about when she wrote that song...and it was tottaly bout me at that time of my life...She can put so much emotion into songs when she sings, that u can even feel what shes feeling when shes singing it...and there's not a lot of artists that can do that...I mean, there's a lot of artists that can sing good and stuff...but not all of them can make u feel what's under the words. It just blows me away...

Great to know someone who also loves her :) Cauze there's not a lot of ppl that i know who listens to her...So nice to meet:)

I love her music... it's so soothing... All her stuff is wonderful, but my favourite album is still Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, and that's probably my favourite song, too. That, and Possession.

I would love to see her in concert! I have seen soooooo many people in concert and there's not too many more I would pay to go see but she is one of them! Her voice is so beautiful! I went out and bought Charlotte's Web the other day just because it had the video with that song on it from the movie...well, that and it was a good movie too!...LOL!!! I had no idea she was pregnant with her second child. See, I don't keep up with her like I do with Ellen, but I listen to her music all the time! I have all but her first two albums. Her two-disc live album is probably my favorite (Mirrorball). I really wish she would start up Lilith Fair again! It was a genius idea and although I was kinda young at the time it was going on, I was aware of it, and now I would love to go see something like that again if she ever did bring it back. I love how they did an episode of Ellen's sitcom where they went to a women fest or something like that and Sarah was there and the Indigo Girls...it was a spoof on Lilith Fair, I guess.

My favorite songs of Sarah's are:

-Angel (My all-time favorite of her's and in my top 5 favorite songs of all-time by anyone).
-Ice Cream
-I Will Remember You
-Witness
-Hold On
-Possession
-Into The Fire

Well, gosh just about all of them...LOL!!!

Laugh!,
Nicole :-)

I absolutely love love love Sarah. I love so many songs that I'm not going to name them all. Although as far as her songs in movies I like the one from Charlotte's Web, but I love the one from Toy Story 2 more. That song makes me cry.
Anyway Sarah's awesome!!!

Oh man, this is awesome! There's not a lot of people I know that are as huge of a fan as I am till now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sarah! I have all of her CDs :). But don't ask me which song/album is my fave, there are just too many lol.

I almost got to see her in Atlantic City a couple years ago. But stupid of me, I didn't buy a ticket.. that's bec I already kinda doubted that my friends and I would make it in time. So when I got to the casino place (forgot which one) the show had already started and of course they already stopped selling. I was almost in tears when I saw her at the door but couldn't get in aarrgghh!! I promised to myself that I won't make that mistake again :D

In May 2005, Sarah McLachlan toured Australia; 8 months later, she was back visiting our shores. Twice in 12 months - man, we were blessed that year!! I saw her perform 11 times across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Newcastle. Blew me away every time.
Love her and always look forward to hearing her perform anything.
Faves: too hard to choose, but "Afterglow" as an album (I think) is her best, especially "World On Fire".

" Possession" is probably my fav song.
Does anyone know if she is coming out with a new album anytime soon?

Here's a great link of all Sarah's songs/video's. You have to watch a 15 second advertisement first, but there's lots of her video's. Enjoy - from her favourite Canuck fan.

Good for you! I'm ssooo jealous! :D Yeah, Afterglow ranks high for me too but it's a toss-up between that and Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. I also like her compilation albums like The "Rarities, B-sides & other Stuff" and "The Freedom Sessions". I think it shows how great she is in interpreting her own songs in different ways that you'll get that feeling that you're hearing it for the first time even though you already know the song.

arrdev, DGenX made a good suggestion. I also suggest Mirrorball to people who want to get to know Sarah. It's a live compilation album. My only gripe about it is that it didn't include "Vox" which is one of my fave Sarah songs :D. But it's a really great album. Hope you enjoy! :)

You know, last year I think they re-released Mirrorball as a two disc set and now you can buy the whole entire concert on two CD's. It's called Mirrorball-The Complete Concert. I'll try to find the cover so you know what it looks like if you're gonna buy it. The concert is available on DVD too. So you can watch the whole thing or you can just listen to the whole thing if you want. Oh, and by the way, the complete concert has "Vox" on it, which is amazing!

Oh, that live verison of Vox on Mirrorball live is a knockout. I watched that relentlessly on the DVD when I first purchased it... may just go indulge myself now, actually...!!
