first of july 1867 ,canada was official born as a country and not under british crown rule .that is the day that we thank the brits thank you very much now we will take it from here .

Yeah, I'm living here in Ottawa. Are you still going downtown? My son is going with his girlfriend and my other son doesn't want to go. I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe I'll watch it on TV! Sad, I know. I just hate getting out of the traffic when it's over and the buses are always packed.

I just got back from downtown. Holy crap..it's frikken crazy! it took us about a good hour to emerge from the crowd. Me and my girlfriends formed a tight box and walked sideways because some of the people were being stupid and cant walk right. If it wasnt for my one friend who was visiting home from Toronto, i wouldn't have gone so much trouble. I'm not too fond of those drunks on the bus either. lol no worries..you didnt miss out.
