Heche's ex raises ante
'She'd better back off,' Laffoon tells friends as he hints he'll reveal details of her time with DeGeneres

Just when you think that bitter divorce raging between ex-Chicagoan Anne Heche and her estranged husband, cinematographer Coley Laffoon, couldn't get nastier ... well, it does.
I've learned that along with angrily fighting over Heche removing furniture from the Los Angeles home the former couple once shared, Laffoon is telling close friends, ''Anne had better back off or else she's going to be really sorry.''
Seems the cameraman who once snatched Heche's affections from her then-lover Ellen DeGeneres is hinting he may ''go public'' with a cache of letters exchanged between the two women shortly before and immediately after Heche dumped DeGeneres for Laffoon.

According to my source, DeGeneres' letters include very graphic descriptions of the actresses' sex life and other intimate details about their three-year relationship, which began in 1997.
As always, DeGeneres' camp declined to comment on anything regarding Heche. At the time of the breakup in 2000, the comedian-turned-Emmy-winning talk show host was so devastated by the split, many friends worried she might suffer a complete breakdown.
Shortly afterward, DeGeneres did tell me one thing. While declining to comment in any way about her breakup with Heche, DeGeneres explained, ''That experience has taught me to never again discuss any aspect of my private life with the media -- or anyone outside my immediate circle of family and a few close friends.''
While she recently has confirmed her affection for her current partner, actress Portia di Rossi, DeGeneres has not done much more than acknowledge di Rossi and her love for her -- usually from a stage while accepting awards.
As for Heche and Laffoon, the battle continues. Their five-year marriage collapsed when Heche's romance with her ''Men in Trees'' TV co-star James Tupper went public. Since then, Laffoon has been awarded primary custody of the couple's 5-year-old son Homer.
As for the furniture that Heche has removed from their home? The actress claims she has only taken things she owned prior to her marriage to Laffoon. I also understand the next chapter in this new Hollywood ''War of the Roses'' involves the unknown contents of several safe deposit boxes.
