Hi, guys. First for all, I like to tell you we have many smart members here. I leans to make the animation pics from cernere (one of our smart member), cernere give me a tutorial, so now I make the ellen singing pic and my signature gif pic.
Here how I do:-
First of all you have to save all your pics in one file ( I use PhotoShop to do all ellen pics. If you want to make a signature pic the size of the pic is 200x100 max. and 150x130max for a avatar pic).(NOW the new forums we can make The maximum size of your custom image is 450 by 100 pixels or 259.3 KB and The maximum size of your custom image is 130 by 150 pixels or 161.7 KB for a avatar pic (whichever is smaller)
And make sure that you named the pics in a regular order (first one as pic_01, second one as pic_02, third one as pic_03 and so on -
After that open Adobe ImageReady. Use File on the menu bar, than import and at last file as frames .... Choose the file were your pics are in.

So, all your pics are now in that small window:

Here you can change the time (in 0.00seconds)
I've tried it (with 0.5 s). When the second/third/fourth/... should be shown. You also can test your options you have made with the "Play"-button.

If you feel that this is what you want you have to save the animation as a gif-document; but don't use "Save" or "Save as" - that's only the project you save with those commands.
Choose file on the menu bar, than optimized-version save as ... . than you can save this as a gif-file and you are ready.

Right click on the image and save target as (the exact wording depends on your browser).

Save it to a location and name that you can find.

You will need an account with someone like Photobucket. ImageShack does not allow images as large as that one.

I have not used Photobucket, so I don't know the details of uploading it. ImageShack has a link for uploading that opens a window that lets you browse for and select the file to upload. It is a standard windows open/save window.

You would then need to get a direct link to the image and add it to your signature using the Img button on the signature edit window.

I have downloaded it here just in case you lose access to it again.

You may need to get the paid Photobucket option, although you could try the free version and see if you have problems with running out of bandwidth.

Gwyneth Paltrow was on Ellen promoting the movie proof, so Ellen and Gwyneth went door to door to get people to watch a video tape, it may have been the trailer, that contained some clips from the movie.

They are animated .gif files. You do want to be careful if you use one for your avatar or in your signature as those can really eat into your allowed bandwidth on free image sites. Keep them simple if they are going to be on every one of your posts. :D

It just occurred to me you might have meant how there are stills and one animated, the stills are pointing at a thumbnail that ImageShack created, it looks like they take a single image in the gif, most likely the first one and make a new small gif with just that image.

What you need
at least some computer skills
a computer
a short video segment [avi format] (not longer than 10 seconds)
Ulead gif Animator 5
Open Ulead gif Animator
Click “File” ------ click “Open video”

Hi, guys. First for all, I like to tell you we have many smart members here. I leans to make the animation pics from cernere (one of our smart member), cernere give me a tutorial, so now I make the ellen singing pic and my signature gif pic.
Here how I do:-
First of all you have to save all your pics in one file ( I use PhotoShop to do all ellen pics. If you want to make a signature pic the size of the pic is 200x100 max.(NOW the new forums we can make The maximum size of your custom image is 450 by 100 pixels or 259.3 KB and The maximum size of your custom image is 130 by 150 pixels or 161.7 KB for a avatar pic (whichever is smaller)
And make sure that you named the pics in a regular order (first one as pic_01, second one as pic_02, third one as pic_03 and so on -
After that open Adobe ImageReady. Use File on the menu bar, than import and at last file as frames .... Choose the file were your pics are in.

So, all your pics are now in that small window:

Here you can change the time (in 0.00seconds)
I've tried it (with 0.5 s). When the second/third/fourth/... should be shown. You also can test your options you have made with the "Play"-button.

If you feel that this is what you want you have to save the animation as a gif-document; but don't use "Save" or "Save as" - that's only the project you save with those commands.
Choose file on the menu bar, than optimized-version save as ... . than you can save this as a gif-file and you are ready.

well , thanks for the nice comment.
i can't stop when i make the first gif pic of Portia-playing pool with PhotoShop--Render--lighting effect>spotlight. (that i think the original pic need to add some lingting).:uglyconf:so come the second pic Portia at seaside ( i use lighting effect> Omin: blue omin). and than ellen at the very big show.:D i think i need to stop doing with the lighting pics now.:p
