yeah im sure she did , i think she said in an interview that she watched the puppy episode, but she said the coming out episode, dnt take my word for that but im pretty sure it in a mag interview somewer :)
then she goes on to say how brave she thought she was and admired her something like that , oh i need to find wer i read that hmm lol

When I watched Ellen come out in ’97, my jaw was on the floor. I thought, There are some people who break the doors down, hold them open, and some people who walk right through. "When I watched Ellen come out in '97, my jaw was on the floor."

I assume it means she watched the show, but it could just be a general 'I was aware of it happening'.
