I juggle.......... flames........... of fire.........
How about you?
To those who know me, the first sentence was what I call literary sarcasism.
To those who don't know me, OWWWWIE....... fire is hot. ;)

I work at a roller skating rink...it's not as great as it sounds, haha. They actually have a website if any of you wanna check it out or whatever. http://www.skatinstation2.com/ (http://www.skatinstation2.com/) Yep, that's what it looks like on the outside...there aren't really any pictures of it on the inside though, oh well.

that does sound pretty cool actually. do u get to blare out ur own music?
I work with autistic children. Its fascinating to me how different they all are and how much progress can be made. Lots have special abilities in maths and drawing. anyone here have experience w/ autism? or views on vaccines? seems to be on the rise...

Well, the DJ has a whole booklet of CD's dating back into the 90's just in case someone wants some old school music. And the DJ gets to pick the songs and so it is like blaring our own music in a way, haha.

Well actually. I have a lot of things I have accomplished.
I wrote a poetry book called 'Human After All'.
I drew up and designed my own wheelchair accessible home.
I am slooooowly starting up a consulting business. I want to help people find products and provide a service to allow my clients to stay as independent as possible in their own house.
and on the weekends I juggle....flames on fire. Good gig, extremely high burnout though. Dunno why.....hmmmm. :astonished: Something to research I guess

Oh Kate, I know you so well, You are a great fire juggler. Don't worry about the burning embers on your legs.
I am a FULL time mom and I also care for my 87 year old mother in law who has pretty much lost most of her eyesight. She can see the color of my shirt but most days she says I don't have a head. :p I also help one of my older sister in laws. She has a mental disorder and doesn't drive either so I also take her to doctor appointments and I either take them grocery shopping or do it myself along with my own grocery shopping. :d_wacko:
Don't get me wrong. I love living here with my husband's family now. We just moved from California and I like it better here. I love the weather and I adore my in laws. But I could really use a little vacation. :g_kaffee::g_kuchen:

I did my programming at two hosiery mills, so the equipment and software were pretty obsolete by the end. While I love programming, I figured security was something that would be needed forever. :)
I am going to school in my recliner. You would not believe the traffic during the commute. ;)

In my full-time career I work for a biotech/pharmaceutical company as a clinical research associate (CRA). I get to travel to a lot of different places and meet new people with my job. It can be long hours and layovers and meals on the run, but I love the excitement of going to a town I've never been to before. Or, returning to a town that I spend a lot of time in and discovering new things about it each trip.
My part-time job is now philanthropic ring-leader for TEAM ELLEN!!! Personally, if I had my druthers, I'd prefer to become a full-time philanthrope. If I ever get the chance to meet Ellen, I'm going to suggest to her that she start her own foundation, The Ellen DeGeneres Children and Animals First Foundation, or something like that, and ask her if I can work for her on charitable causes. I'm doing okay with this birthday gig, so why not?

I monitor alarms for a home security company. We serve customers all over the east coast. In other words, if a burglary or fire (etc.) alarm goes off at a home or business, I am the one that calls the cops. I sent the police to an actual hold-up alarm at a convenience store Wednesday. Shots were fired, but no one was seriously injured. I LOVE my job.

well i've just finished being a student. i have a MA in research design (social policy) and a BA in sociology. I am supposed to be starting a PhD in london on monday (i am moving house in 2 hrs time!!! - so no internet for 1 week!)
To earn money during studying i've worked tonnes of jobs including postman, cleaner, nightshift warehouse work, nightshift stacking shelves at supermarket, shopkeeper in a garden centre, but right now i earn about £300 a week buying and selling simpsons toys, i think i've found my niche.
i'm also into photography and so am going to try and get onto a course in london. i do live music photos and have been published :)
so yeah i work at the moment as a toy dealer :D

I’m electric designer. But i don,t do that job just now. I have really had almost 15 different jobs. just now i,m working in Finnis post office as a postman. ( I know it sounds terrible) but i like it. It keeps me fit. I diliver mail by bike, almost 20 km per day. Rain or shine. In the winter time it is hard when snow is in waist deep and it is -20 degrees, but that only makes it
‘’fun‘’. Now come to think of it, i really have to get another job, the winter is coming…:d_shocked:

Well years ago my job is about FIRE too …..mmmm Hahaaaa I’m a part time instructor at a pottery studio years ago. I like to do pottery. Oh man that ready a HOT HoooOT thing in the studio with the Kiln with firing up to 900 to 1300 degree Celsius. Is a lot of fun to play with clay, glazing, firing, and also need to spend a lot of time. My full time job is interior design. And now I do freelance interior design. Most of time I work with men (those contractor, carpenter, tiller, electrician, plumber…) I never wear dress to jobsite never ever. So is not kindna fascinating designer works people through. I work in a store with a frame shop in the back...which basically means I frame pictures for people! It is a lot of fun!!! I get to look at all the stuff people put in their houses...you wouldn't believe what some people think looks good...:p, but I guess we all have our own preferences...LOL!!! So needless to say, I have all my stuff matted and framed hanging on my wall in my room...it all looks so professional...LOL!
I've framed everything for people! Regular pictures, paintings, drawings, and then there's the crazy stuff that I have to build shadowboxes for like: Jerseys, baby clothes, quilts, medals, I even had to build a huge shadowbox to put a violin in one time! Yeah, the guy was crazy!!
Oh, and I go to school...been in college for over three years and still don't know what I want to do! I hate it!!!
I LOVE my job though!!!:)

After i had finished my diploma, i started working rotating shift (9am-9pm/9pm-9am) at one of the engineering company. Although i got quite a fine salary from the rotating shift, i was really tired of doing night shift so i decided to quit.:cool:I tell you what surfing the net the whole night and working the whole night is different stories that i know very well:(. Now, i'm working on morning shift (7:30am-7:45pm) as engineering assistant. Sometimes, i hate to work long hours but i like to get the day off when most of the people are working cause my off days normally fall on weekdays. I'm planning to study for my degree in next year january.

I work also as a freelance graphic designer at my church and make wedding videos on the side for fun...

LOL - yep it is, but sometimes when we get bored we just sort of estimate.
:) Actually, I don't really count things - my job is cool, I get to work with other researchers and analyse their data and say whether the stuff they are testing is working or not. I work with HIV, TB and Malaria projects.
So I basically count how many have the diease and after treatment who doesn't and if thats a significant change. Yeah I know I'm .

I'm an Assistant Director in the British Film Industry but, as recessions always hit us hard, I'm working as an agency gardener. I must admit I enjoy it but I don't make as much money as AD-ing (about 1/3 what I'm usually on) so it looks like I'm going to have to sell my house. Bummer.
Still, at least I've got a job and about to relaunch myself on the remnants of the film biz.
