Poem: Ellen What Makes You Special

Ellen it isn't the clothes you wear,
it isn't the shoes on your feet
It isn't the awards you have won
It is sooooooo not about the money you have

What makes you special is your heart
What makes you special is your smile
I know it'll take some time
to listen to crabby people whine

Know that you are special
and that I am here to cheer
when you do good things
I'm here to dust off your wings.

it is hard seeing you cry,
seeing you sad.
Those eyes are not made for
being covered in tears.

Ellen,
those eyes are made for joy and happiness.
Tears just don't belong there.

In your smile we see nothing but
courage and kindness.
