Question about Alexandra

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I was just curious so here's goes my question. (In case I'm spamming delete this :P)

I know Ellen was in a relationship with Alexandra Hedison (sp?) who played Dylan in the L word (if I am mistaken correct me lol) so my question is why did they split up? because I completely missed it.

They have a reationship for 4 years, on and of - they split up the last time because Ellen fall in love with Portia at the WH1 1 dec 2004

I "suspected" (clever woman I am lol *cough*) it was for Portia but I got hooked on Ellen too late so I just started being a uber fan last year! And... she was with Portia already lol I searched the net to find some article about Alexandra and such but they all said "they did split up".

Last I heard she was dating someone from L word, but she has moved on to new show, so have no idea now.
