Please pray for me

Hi to my family and friends,

My mother had a hearttack and I am in the ICU waiting room, "waiting". It was a complete shock and since we haven't spoken since I went to the October taping, she hasn't spoken to me. Its a difficult baggage family sort of thing. I'm exhauseted waiting for 7am to come so I can go see her again. I'll be living here for a few days as it is an 1 hour away from our home. Its serious. I'm sort of confused and shit like that but very worried as well. They have the internet in the waiting room which is nice so I could post this. But any prayers at this time would be great. Her name is Donna...

I know exactly what you are going through at the moment as i have been through it myself several months ago at the start of july my grandfather had a heart attack and it was unexpected and for my family it didn't turn out so well as he died in the early hours of the next day but it will be diffesrent for you as i will be pray for you and your mother that it doesn't turn out the way it did for me and my family. so i know what you are going through at the moment with all the waiting and not know what is going to happen etc. so if you ever want to talk more about all what you are going through at the moment or anything else. just pm me or what ever you want to do and i will be here for you to talk to as i know what you are going through as i have been through it a few months ago, so i hope all goes well for your family and i will be praying for you all. :xmas_10::xmas_9:

I'm soooooo sorry to hear about your mother. I'm so sorry that I have been so damn focused on TEAM ELLEN that I have neglected to read other posts. It seems there are a few good people on this site that are going through some difficult times right now. I will tell you honestly that I don't pray because it's just too religion-identified for me and I'm no believer in organized religion...BUT, we have had this conversation before I believe....so you know that I will keep your mom in my thoughts daily and focus on a positive outcome for her. YOU take care of yourself. Everyone here will keep you and your family close at heart.

If you need anything at all, just ask. I will PM you with my phone number if you want to talk. If you don't get me immediately, just leave a message. I'm usually HORRID about about talking on the phone (just ask Raz and PNut)...but I will be here for you.

Dear friends!

I came on the computer for the first time in 5 days and I was overwhelmed by the support you all gave me concerning my mother. I am here to say she is making a full recovery and she will probably come home in a few days. They didn't have to open her chest, which is good. She had a blood clot on the outside of her heart and shes been working 7 nights a week for a few months. Shes 63, hell those people at work just don't get that she isn't in her 20s or 30s anymore. She had the heart attack last Friday and instead of going to the hospital she worked 4 more days then passed out at work then was choppered to Sioux City for immediate surgery. She got a nice lecture from me, I don't understand why she didn't go to the hospital. The thing is, we still haven't really "talked" since I went to the California taping of Ellen. Its been hard sitting in the room with her both of us not saying any words with each other. Its a hard situation knowing how much she hates me, but I am still going to take the high road and make sure she gets taken care of. So anyway, as hard as the situation is, I'm trying to not be selfish and keep the best interests of my mother in my heart... blah I'm rambling.

Thanks to all for the calls and PMs and for posting your thoughts. It was overwhelming but comforting. Thank you so much and I appreciate everything you guys give to this site and to everyone that is in need. Its is a big family here and its obvious.

OMG OMG I haven't been on the site for a few days so didn't know about your anguish & family situation Susan. I'm so pleased that she has pulled thru OK. Now the healing begins - not just for her condition but for you & her to hopefully start healing those personal wounds. Maybe this can turn into a positive thing.

I am praying for her continued health & for your healing relationship.

Hi family and friends...

I brought my mom from the hospital today and she is recovering very well. Shes on lots of medications, a strict diet and shes getting around very well. She'll start cardiac rehab soon and I'll be carting her around town for her appointments. Even though we haven't spoken for months, I am glad she is okay. I think it scared the hell out of her as well. I have my reservations but I guess I have to put all the baggage behind and take care of her. Its so hard but what do you do... thanks everyone for your support... you don't know how much it means to me.:xmas_9:

Hey there AB, I had faith that your Mom would pull through just fine. I also had a "gut" feeling...of course all of these thoughts & prayers from the members certainly helped a great deal I'm sure.

I certainly will continue to send my best wishes and prayers your way and I also hope this turns into the start of a new relationship for you and your Mom. I can only guess how difficult it is for you both, as I had a very close relationship with my mom, but know that I am hoping you can both find a way to make amends and start anew! Good luck with that, and please keep us posted!!
