Guitar Heroes 3

Hi I was wondering if anyone had guitar heroes 3, as I have and I know Ellen's been talking about it alot. She is right its sooo addictive,Ive even started playing it on xbox live!!!

i dont have one but my cousin does, and i must say that it does get addictive.. even though the people in the background freak me out.. lol.. but really fun game.. :D

Her mom, which was my aunt was a raging alcoholic and lost her and Jennifer went into a foster home and was adopted. I had a special day with her... enjoy the pics... she looks like her mother... and that made her sad when I said that, but we had a lot of fun! But she is addicted to Guitar Hero 3 and is an excellent player! Sorry I went on and on but I had one of the best days of my life, finally seeing my sweetie Jennifer. (Check out my tshirt;))

We have this game on xbox 360 with the guitar controller....its amazing.

I 1st heard of it from TEDS show when you saw Ellen playing on the guitar in her dressing room...then all of a sudden, everyone in the uk was talking about it.

We bought the game over Christmas and its brilliant.

It gets very hard very quick and im only on the 2nd level in....there are 2 more levels to master...

You should all try this game...its great fun :)

i used to have a fender acoustic but taylor is better for the same price.

on todays show, for Ellen's monologue she was playing the Guitar hero that her and Portia got for Christmas and she was playing the song Barracuda by heart and she did a really good job i had thought. :)

Ive it on PC.
Guitar Hero 3 is for PC and Playstation 2. I dont know about Xbox since i dont have one but i believe its even for a xbox too.

I can play most songs on expert now, but some I can only manage on hard.

I hate to be a nerd but....I own a 98 Martin SP000-16R. :D It is SO SWEEEETTT! I bought it new because I'm a blues fan and decided to learn some Delta style stuff. This guitar was good to begin with but it's really opened up. Great tone and so much depth - lots of guts. Recorded, you'd think this was an old 18. Outside of a custom build or an instrument made by one of the small, independent makers these days (Collings, Proulx - both of which are truly awesome) this guitar is one of the best you'll find.
I also like to think about the fact that this guitar will outlive me. I plan to pass on to one of the neices or nephews (or kids, if I ever have any.)

That's awesome yo! I swear I need a new acoustic but I can't seem to find one I like. Mine is like falling apart. I do have a Honeyburst Les Paul Standard though. I plan on getting an Ebony one really soon.

But anyway... my friend has Guitar Hero III and I just play on her Wii. I get completely pwned though and hear endless insults about how I actually play guitar. Fun stuff! :D I love playing as Slash and mimicking his moves he does on stage... buh maybe that's just me...

Love all the GH's ...even the 80's was alright.
I never finished expert on any of them.
GH3 I'm at song 40/42 on hard and expert 22/42 or so.

I love Rock Band just as well.
The guitar is way easy on RB.
I have easy/expert left on vocal.
One set before the last on hard for guitar. I think about about on song 10 or 12 on expert.
Drums I'm about thru hard and have began expert.
I think thats where I am.

Well I beat GH2 on medium, hard, and expert(not good at easy, I'm sure those who like it on expert might understand) in about 2 weeks.

I just stole GH3 from a friend, about a week ago, and I've beat medium and hard.
Working on expert.

It's said that those who play guitar, aren't very good at GH, and visa versa.
I prove them wrong.

l have my own guitar hero, her name is Cheri, she plays a real Acoustic Guitar, as well as bass guitar, but mostly she sings, one of the first times l met Cheri (6 years ago) she got out her guitar ( l was leaving to go back to England, and we was both tore up) well she sat down next to me, and sang "if" to me on her acoustic guitar, it just melted me to the core, she tried so hard to hold it together singing the words of a very moving song to me, l just loved it, and could not keep back the tears, she showed me her heart, a heart that was breaking at the time, having to let me go back home!!! So she is my guitar hero!!! l love you babes!!

I FINALLY DEFEATED THE DEVIL ON THE MEDIUM LEVEL! I know some of you kids have the whole game defeated, but this was a task. I played that guy 100 times or so and finally kicked his ass!

So now I'm on HARD and only got SLOW RIDE and the rest I can't do at all... I have to practice! I suck on the HARD LEVEL!:wallbash::irre:

i dont know for guitar hero but on rock band there are many very useful tutorials
the freaking hard tutorial helped me a lot on rock band im now playing expert

because you see your pointer finger has more range of motion,
so it may be easier to move your pointer finger up, instead of
your pinkie down.

Yeah I tried that and that is good advice. I tried the practice but its too slow, I hit the notes before they get to the thingy. I'll never get to expert. But what do the white notes mean?:confused:

that just mean you don't have to strum.

Hey I have Guitar Hero for Mac... and its a disc that I put into the drive and then I start it off the dock. Well its not working... I tried to reinstall it but it gives me an error... any ideas to what I did to this game? The disc seems fine. Does anyone think I should trash the original application then reinstall it and see it if works? I miss my game!:wallbash:

I'm not sure how mac files are structured, but on a PC you can keep the save game files if you uninstall something and then just move them back into the data folder once you've reinstalled it, could you do that with your mac?

Hmmm I have the application and a bunch of folders. I do not have an Uninstall option, just Install... Maybe I'll get rid of the folders that did not update and then try to Reinstall it again. I have to think about this...
