what the stars were doing on awards night

I found this on USA Today...thought I would post it:
What would have been a packed and fabulous Golden Globes on Sunday was more subdued than previous years. There was no red carpet outside the Beverly Hilton, no stars dashing about at the Four Seasons Hotel nearby, just a few tourists mostly ignoring the Globes news conference being shown on a big TV. But a few weekend events did go on, and here's what some stars said about their Globes night:
Ellen DeGeneres and girlfriend Portia de Rossi joked that they'd be holding their own private gala. "We're giving each other awards," DeGeneres said. "We're pretending we're up for things, getting all dressed up in the living room and taking pictures: 'Portia, single shot!' "

I realize that by commenting on this in the way in which it was meant, I am taking everyone's mind out of the gutter...and I apologize for that ;)

but I found the 'single shot' comment hilarious b/c whenever we see vids of them, the paparazzi always ask Portia if they can have a single shot of her...even if Ellen is the one nominated or whatever. I love how rather than either one of them being insecure about that, they instead make a joke out of it.

You're right! I think that's great that they're like that too, and that they find it funny enough to laugh and joke about it themselves!!!

And I know it was not meant for our minds to fall into the gutter, but you know how it goes!:p I will get my mind out now, sorry!!!
