hey i was wondering something the other day
i know ellen only since this summer so i dont know really much about alex i i heard that there was a american express commercial that ellen did had something to do with alex can youknow more about it? and does anybody have a video of ellen with alex or alex on the show?(in the audience like portia does) and alex was apparently in a opening of the show does anybody know more about anything about alex?

Yeah, she played Dylan on The L Word, who had a thing with Helena. My favourite Helena-arc to date.

Her 2005 short film In the Dog House (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489498/) was produced by the same production company that produces TEDS, A Very Good Production, Inc. I'm assuming this is the same short film they've just wrapped in that interview 'Girls Night Out'.

I know Alex would occasionally come to see the tapings, but I don't have any photographic or video evidence off the top of my head. I'll check my picture folders. I think she would generally sit over by the left side, next to Betty.

There used to be pictures of Ellen on the website that Alex had taken, (did anyone save them, and could post them? I don't think I have them...) but they've since been taken down (it was years ago).

I don't know about her being in the opening of the show, but she's been mentioned in one monologue that I know about, when Ellen talks about getting her finger stuck in her front gate.

As for post-Ellen stuff, she's also hosted a home-makeover type show called Designing Blind where people apply to get a designer to make over a room in their home, but they don't tell them until they get there that the designer is blind. It's a fun show, Eric's a really great designer, and Alex is a hilarious host. I wish the show would come back!

There used to be an American Express commerical that Ellen did that showed some of her things laying out of a bag and Alex's business card was included. Until they broke up. Then her card was photoshopped out of the shot. I don't have the picture though so if someone could help me out, that would be great!

IMO, Ellen tends to look a little more tired and a little less extroverted. A little more human, if you will... I love them.

I know the ones Alex took during the '03 tour have been posted here several times, I can search for them later, but I gotta be out the door in a little while. The ones that used to be on the website I haven't seen in a long time, though. There's also one on the back of the funny thing is... that I think I've seen here (or somewhere else online, hmm...) at some point.

(Re)building is the name of her latest show, that opened in 2005. It's basically about how she had to (re)build herself and her life from the ground up after Ellen left her, and she illustrates it with photos that she spent months going around various building sites to take. There are some really fantastic pictures there...

If you click on 'Work', you can see pictures from (Re)building and also from Elements, her show from 2003 (2004?), which is this incredibly gorgeous, peaceful collection that I absolutely *love*.

Don`t worry. I didn`t catch the Ellen Alex days, but when i read interviews & stuff, and find out the pain that everyone got after breakin up. I feel sorry for them, then i say that might be what it`s supposed to happen so all can get together & everyone be happy.
