I just made an animated GIF for my avatar and its the right size and everything, and I saved it right and tried to use Photobucket to host it and it says there is a error on that. Then I uploaded it from my MAC and its not animated. But when I test it in Safari, it is. Whats the dealio anyone!?!?:confused:

Can you post the link in a message, that way I might be able to tell what is happening or is the forum not even letting you post that?

If it doesn't let you post it at all, try dropping the http:// part, that way it won't see it as a link, but I can still see what it is pointing at.

That looks like a good link and the image is small. :confused:

You might want to go with downloading the image to your computer if you don't have it already and just upload it to the forum instead of trying to use the link.

I just looked at the actual avatar screen and are you using the second from the bottom position to put that url in or the bottom entry?
The bottom entry should only be a path to a file on your computer, if you put the url there, you might get that sort of error.

That is what I am trying to do but it won't animate if I take it from my Mac... its saved as a .GIF... ugh I hate PS sometimes!:uglyconf:

I just did some testing and I'm thinking that the forum is having a problem.

I did some further testing and it is not a Mac thing, that file won't work if uploaded from a PC either.

Do you know that the avatar can be animated?
I know I have seen people with animated banners, but I can't remember for sure about the avatar. :uglyconf:

You got one to animate, which after you mentioned that you knew it was possible, I ran across several others.

hey AB ur new pic for avatar is bigger that a max size(130W x 150H)for avatar. from what i check from derya post it here. your gif pic size is 150x150.

Yes I know that but it says which ever is smaller the size or the image size... so Im just confused... I'll change the image size :) Thanks for the info! :)

I had mine too wide too, that knowing which comes first the width or the height confuses me. :uglyconf:
