You know I went into the games forum just knowing that I was going to kick but in Mahjong. Alas, I have not. I thought I was really good until I played this!!LOl
Maybe it was because the ones i've played give hints and let you go back and fix your bad moves LMAO:p

Yeah, it's extraordinarily tricksy not to have to shuffle 20 times at the end. I have played a *lot* of Mahjong solitaire, though. Not in the last few years, but it was the only solitaire I had on one of my older computers, and I would play it ALL the time... it's slowly coming back to me.

Calypso is really good, too, though, I'm just waiting for her to beat me!

Uhm. I don't know how to win. I think it's just practice, and getting used to it. Getting a good eye for the different symbols, getting a good eye for which pieces are open. Not painting yourself into a corner if you can avoid it. A little bit of tactic, and a lot of speed.

There's not much to do by way of strategy, really. I think speed is what matters most in the end. But if you have 3 free of a same it's always a good thing to take a moment to see where the 4th is (if it's visible) so you don't end up locking the last pair in.

I was really really bored and was watching an even more boring episode of... Ally McBeal, I think it was, or possibly Ellen (but then I wouldn't be bored :p) and playing Tetris in the background... and it pretty much took the entire darn episode to get that score...

Yeah its a frustrating game LOL... I tried to get some tips from the master of the games other than Drinkbottle LOL... and she just kicks butt at that game and I used her tips but I just can't clear the board enough times to break into the high thousands... :kaffeetrinker_2::scoolblue:

I know! That 'random' feature isn't all that random. I stupidly put myself in a situation where I had 6 tiles left, only 3 visible, and I shuffled away some 25 000 points, and never once did I get two of the same visible.

yea that is what happened to me i would get down to the 6 last game pieces and i would have to reshuffle and reshuffle and reshuffle,i really don't like that game because it ia also timed and i don't like games that are timed. :astonished:

I agree that you can totally get stuck...the only way to avoid it is to look ahead, but once you realize it's too late, the best thing is to just start a new board asap instead of reshuffling forever (learned that from experience :()

My goal clear one board then find something easier to play...

dont set goals too high because then goals are achievable:p

When playing the tournament, I would usually pause and leave for an hour or two...especially after clearing a board or if i'm stuck for more than two minutes...it really relaxes my eyes...and clears my mind...if i come back later...i can reach upto 40 000...
but def. the game is too addicting...thats why i dont play it anymore :D
