i compleatly agree! we all hate her coz of wat she did to ellen and fair-do's so do i! but to be fair she is only human, i mean its not her fault if she fell out of love, and ellen did the same to alex aswell, so ive forgiven them both, sure i dont like anne but i dont hold a grudge or anything.

She was likely what Ellen needed at the time to support her during her coming out. It is sad that a relationship ended, but it seems to have been very much the better for Ellen that it did.

I don't really know a lot about her these days since I really did not follow much on her since she was with Ellen and not much then.

I'm not gonna get into the Anne discussion (I like her, ya'll know that), but whatever may or may not have been going around in her direction, *I* totally didn't deserve to lose the only scripted show, (next to 30 Rock - but that doesn't count because my love for Tina Fey makes me watch anything she ever does, and Blood Ties - but that doesn't count either because that was never on here, and I couldn't watch it until I bought the DVDs and then watched all the episodes in a single week), that I've actually cared about these past seasons. Men in Trees was charming, and the characters were both easy on the eyes and lovable, and I actually liked it for itself, and didn't just watch it because it had some actress on it that I was crusing on. Argh! Stupid TV.

When Oprah interviewed Ellen after the Oscars, when the cast of Charlotte's web was on (I am a bit of a Julia Roberts fan), and old recordings of when Ellen was on after coming out.

I watched Oprah once years ago when some lady who got severly burned was on the show...my mom was watching it and asked me to watch it with her...even though I don't remember a lot of it now, it was interesting and sad to see.

Then a few years ago I watched Oprah when Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong were on together...:rolleyes:. I am a big Sheryl Crow fan but I don't keep up with her as much as I used to because of...well, you know...Ellen!!

And I watched the clips on youtube of when Ellen was on the show after she came out...and when she was on Oprah's post Oscar show last year. James, you had to have watched that show!!

And that's it...I don't find her show that entertaining...if I had to watch any talk show besides Ellen it would probably be Regis and Kelly, but I don't even watch them. And don't get me started on The View!!:rolleyes::irre:

I didn't say that I thought that she would be successful, just that she might or might not be in competition with Ellen.

I have gone back and forth on mentioning that being a talk show host requires a much different skill set from acting.

It requires being quick on your feet. You have to quickly adapt to the unexpected.

I don't really expect her to do well. Plenty of other talk shows have failed miserably. Ellen did something that was different from other daytime shows and for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is her skill, talent, and humor. Anne's show doesn't sound like it really suits daytime to me, but then what do I know since Ellen's show is the only daytime show that I routinely watch.

Oprah has a really great show and she's an amazing person, much like Ellen. They just have a different fan base.

However, I don't think Anne stands a chance in this market. And, somehow I have a feeling that she's only doing this to get at Ellen. I'm sure with Ellen's success in her personal and professional life, Anne is getting the feeling that she effed up big time. :)

Kate you always amaze me with your words and poems. I love what you said. I agree with you, but I also agree with LisaJr. I think she sees Ellen now and realizes she's messed up somewhere along the way, whether it be leaving Ellen and all that, or something else. But sometimes I believe in what goes around comes around. Anne has hurt more people than just Ellen in her years, and I think it's finally starting to catch up to her.

Then look at Ellen...she tries to hurt no one, and tries her best to be a good person and look where it has gotten her. I don't know if Anne is doing this to get back at Ellen...I would like to think she would be happy for Ellen's success, but if she is the way she appears to be then she's probably trying to get in Ellen's pool...but I don't think it will work...I think she will drown!

In saying that Anne i liked from before she was really famous she was on Another World played Vicky and her twin. I think Anne has messed up her life like other celebrities and it is up to her to fix it but just because somone offers you $$$$$$ is not a reason to do a talkshow she and everyone else knows is going to fail just for publicity and gossip for a year if it lasts that long. Megan was funny and had a show and it failed so what are Annes odds really:confused: I THINK this is about money period and knowing she was tied to Ellen for some reason people want to give her a show...and think they will profit from it and if she does it she is no worse than them for trying to exploit a situation.

Okay I'll be honest, when I heard this idea, I laughed. It is obvious to us that Anne can not compete with Ellen. And I've seen some interviews with James Tupper, and from watching that, I can tell you he is not talk show material.

You are 100% correct on your point and I totally agree that we all are not perfect and have a right to dislike an individual,but I never ONCE stated that I am perfect and I choose my words carefully to imply that. I said repeatedly. I have seen threads a few times about Heche,but enough is enough. It's not human nature for me to act like a fifth grader. I do not like Bush. He went into a country to establish a democratic government. He failed to do his research and...well y'all should know why and all that. See,I am human too,but what he does complicates the whole world and not just a few people. What Heche did complicate Ellen's life and who ever had to comfort her,but not mine,yours or any body else. I just see pure hate and evil when people speak of her and the reasons are pathetic. Why can't people just say they don't like her once and the reasons and move on? That's all I am saying. I dislike and talk about people to one's that I trust too,but the difference is that I eventually move on and they directly slapped me in the face. In my magazine today... big thing about Ellen and Portia getting married and having a baby...... Also about the TEDS show where Ellen announced it.

Also underneath big splash about Anne Heche.... being broke as she has not been able to pay her ex.... Laffoon (Ellen's Cameraman) for bringing up their child. This is because her show has now been axed.. and she has gone off with her co-star. Been in Court recently and is saying that she is absolutely broke. He gave up work to look after the child and Anne carried on working. Personally, I think he was taking advantage of the situation financially as Anne was paying him. Now she can't afford it, so what will happen to that poor child?

Anne was messing around with Laffoon while they were 'all' on a stand up tour'. That is when the split came about between Ellen and Anne.

I wish Ellen and Portia all the best and hope all works out for them both.

I think that the only reason that Anne said that ellen was too demanding and controlling is a bunch of B.S. Ellen is one of the sweetest people. Everyone knows that. And how Anne said that it probably wouldn't work out between ellen and portia, I think she just said that because she's jealous. Here Ellen has finally found someone that she absolutely loves and loves her in return and they are going to get married. Anne has had many failed relationships and she's probably just jealous because ellen is so happy. I like Anne Heche as an actress, I think she's very talented, but as a person...she's a wackjob. And the whole Franscesca thing, who cares. Let Anne be friends with her or date her(though that would be extremely creepy) just leave ellen and portia out of it.
