If things go as planned, I will take my exams Saturday and then have three weeks off. :D

Then back to school for seven more weeks and then yet two more exams. :astonished:

I will be working almost every day all day, and when I'm not at work, I'll be on here!!!:D

We've been kinda slow at work lately, but that happens every summer. Soooooo, since I don't have much to do I've been taking my portable DVD player with me to work and labeling all of my TEDS shows. I kinda worked on the 5th season as it was going on, but I had all of the 4th and half of the 3rd season to label...I'm finally on the third season. I don't know what I'm going to do at work when I get done labeling everything!

Maybe I'll continue working on that next drawing I said I was going to do...I started on it, but I haven't touched it in a few weeks!!:p

It is probably OK as long as they don't ask you to take a stayawaycation next year. :uglyconf:

I'm going to Normandy and Brittany from June 18-July 1st. This has been planned for a long time, so I hope the gas business doesn't screw it up with reservations, etc. I'm SO excited!

I was planning to do volunteer work in Mexico, but I didn't get the time off from work. So now I get to work the entire summer. I might go to Universal Studios, Magic Mountain , Museums, things like that. I am looking forward to October when we all go to see Ellen in her new studios. I live in L.A. so I don't have to travel.

I wish everyone a wonderful and fun Summer!!!:D

I wish I had summer holidays!! Its only winter here :(

But I still have 3 weeks holidays coming up, and my main plan? RELAX!! I work three jobs at the moment, as well as study full time and play netball, so I'm really looking forward to a break. Might go camping for a few days with some friends or something

Coudnt agree with you more .. wish it was summer instead of winter. By the look of this whether it looks like its here to stay - hate rainy days .. upside is I have my last exam tomorrow and then I have close to 2 months holidays yay :)

Trying to find a job to where the man doesn't swear at the woman for doing something she was trained to do but then got pissed off because she didn't do what HE wanted. It'll save on gas I hope.

I will HOPEFULLY be learning how to drive. *crosses fingers*.

I will also be going to a Jellystone campground with my mom, sister and niece and maybe some more families.

Here is a picture of ONE part of the park.

l want to take two of my boys on holiday to Spain, finances are a key issue here, l wanted to take them last year but it fell through, now l have actually wrote it down, it just might happen.... My boys need a holiday, l took my youngest Christopher to Florida last year, but my middle son Matthew was doing exams, so he could not go, so l'm hoping to take them both this year, Matthew has finished his exams for the time being, he finishes this years school term in july, as does Christopher, but Christopher has to do two weeks work experience starting the 30th of June, so its looking like late July or August before they are both available. Then there is me, still no job, if l do get one, l want to be able to get away for at least a week with my boys. Most of my vacation time has been spent with Cheri for obvious reasons, its too expensive to pay for all my boys to go too, she has the same problem taking her daughter or son with us ! Failing that, there is always her son's wedding in September, where my two boys ar both ushers. My eldest son is 27 and works, so his schedule is tight, although l have invited him along many times, he always declines, he would rather be with his apple mac computers lol. (he does graphic design, and designs dvd covers etc all in his spare time) Well, l hope you all enjoy your vacation time, have to say l miss TEDS, the UK, is so far behind, then they chop things out, or miss shows, its hard to keep up with the shows, they like to throw a repeat in just to confuse us, so l never know if its a show recent, or last years.... they needd to get there act together once and for all, and just show the same schedule a day later than the USA, so we can all be on the same level, more emails to send lol. Enjoy your vacation, relax, unwind and just breathe.... ahhhh bliss...:)

I'm going to take a plane from lisbon to london. After that I'll take a train to edinburgh... Since I'm thinking about going to see kd lang and it's in brighton, I may have to re-think my plans...

I love how Europeans refer to vacation as "holiday". It's very charming! Anyway, my summer plans include a few road trips to Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans, a summer class at college and working my face off. Hope you all have a great summer!

well... I just got an e-mail from the brighton dome box office (where kd lang's concert is going to be) and they said it's sold out :´(

I have been on her web site every day and the only show that is said to be sold out is the one in cambridge so I thought I could still buy tickets...

Well, I guess I won't see kd this year... :(

just in case, if anyone here is from that area and knows about the possibility of buying tickets somewhere else, could you please tell me?? it's august 3rd...
thank you... :)

Next week, I am driving to Wisconsin to visit Kate. YAY! It will be a good get away for me but it will be a blast seeing Kate and her home. I've only been to Wisconsin once, and its only a 5-6 hour drive, so I am looking forward to it so much. Then before I posted I was going to find a part time job and I did get one at a store in town, but its very boring because its not a very busy store. But this job is 100% better than the one I had before and it pays more. September I am going to an Amy Grant concert with my mom and then in October I'm going to LA once again! :D Can't wait for these upcoming trips!:cool:

i'm working over summer, but i work seven days on, seven off, so in my seven off im gonna try and do lots of stuff. this is my first summer in london so im going to try to go to the free events etc. i am going to a small music festival called truck at the end of july as a photographer, then to pukkelpop in belgium in august as a crowd member. also my sister is expecting another child in august so i've booked one weeks holiday, meaning i've actually got three weeks off, so i can help her with the new baby and her other three kids :)

I don't know if anyone else is looking forward to the Olympics this summer, but I am. Although I have bad news for US soccer fans out there. Abby Wambach is out of the Olympics. I'm so sad!! :(She broke her leg in a resent friendly match against Brazil. A game that I was watching live and I couldn't believe it. She looked like she was in so much pain. It was reported that she is scheduled for surgery today. Abby is one of the best players and now with her out it will be difficult for the rest of the team. I wish her a quick recovery.
As for the team, I'm sure they are worried right now. They still have very good players and I'm sure they could still win, it's going to be harder now without Abby.
Anyway, I just wanted to share the info.
GO USA!!!!!

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that Abby Wambach broke her leg. That is terrible!

I am looking forward to seeing the taekwondo competition with the Lopez family. Three members of one family from Texas are going to the Olympics including Steven who has been to the Olympics and won gold medals in Sydney and Athens, his brother Mark and their sister Diana. Their older brother Jean is their coach. I am especially interested in seeing Diana in her first Olympic competition. The siblings are all in different weight classes. I wonder how the one non related member of the team feels.

[quote=Vee;190062]I have not been home since Christmas 2006 and am really looking forward to it. It will be great to be in South Africa in the spring and even better that I have a friend joining me this time. It is always better when you can take someone to your home town and show them the "Wild Life!". I did manage to find a picture from the last time I was there when I had a friend stand next to a sign saying "Beware of the lions, exit vehicles at own risk!" She was fine until I pointed out that there were no fences around us...

I think she must have forgiven me as she want to go back again, but this time not in the height of summer as it was quite warm (41 C).

Roll on the Olympics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:disc_cool:

The heat is on the street now!! It's summertime here in our area. It's time to enjoy the waters... We'd most likely have several beach outings this month..
