I don't see why there should be trouble talking about it. It's an excellent question for a place called 'Sexual Questions'. I wish more women could feel that it was ok to talk about sexual stuff. Guys supposedly sit around and talk about sex all the time (not being a guy, I wouldn't know).

A very general comment, but my firm belief is that anything and everything, not matter how strange or kinky it might seem to someone else, if it makes you feel good and isn't hurting anyone else, go for it! Try everything you feel like trying, and have an open conversation with your partner about it. If you don't like giving or receiving something, talk about it, and figure out what you both like.

I agree oral sex in lesbian relationships is a common part of love making but not everyone is in to it or feels comfortable about it. For a short time I dated a girl where it was definately a no no, but she certainly didnt have any issues or hangups about exploring other sexual activities.

just thought I would add my two cents worth to your discussion. I personally love to give and receive. we have been together for 34 years and neither one of us have any problems "going down" on the other. In my opinion if you or your partner have no problem with it then why not enjoy. my first partner never wanted anything to do with it either giving or receiving but no problem with mary lou on that part of our lives. we do not do it every time we are together because we do like variety and try lots of different things. and probably have tried them all at one time or another. :o If you all know what I mean.
