Well I don't have a Mac computer, just Windows PC and an iPod, but I found this "How to Vidoe to import music from Mac to iTunes" on Google search, perhaps this will help. :)

Yeah, I just updated the lastest version of iTunes I believe last week. Actually on the iTunes application click on file, then library and import playlist, and high the songs and click convert.

I just inserted the attachment pix. On the picture I highlighted one song then click on the convert button, the first button.

I thought that too, so I would pick a different file... not all of the files are that way. Ive had this before... but I have 3 songs I cannot get into my library... I downloaded one this morning and it went in perfect... this is so frustrating!:scoolblue::scoolblue:

Will it play in QuickTime?

That might tell you if the file is OK or not.

Well, I have a PC, and I don't know if the problems I heard about are from people who have PCs or not...I'm just afraid of losing all my stuff.:(

I wasn't sure what programs on the mac would play those.

QuickTime on the PC wants to play a large range of types.

I'm on a Mac, too (well, many macs :D ). Sometimes when you try to drag files into iTunes, you can not unless you drag them over the "Library" heading, but that is only if you happen to have a Smart Playlist open at the time or if you're in a Moves or TV section.

If you're also having a problem that they won't import using the File menu option, then I'd start looking at the file type. These three are MP3 files? Did you download them from a commercial site (like Amazon or eMusic), or did you get them off a sharing site or torrent? If the latter, I would start wondering if they are real MP3 files or bogus or corrupted.

If you want, you could send me the file to look at, since I'm also on a Mac. If you and angel haven't figured it out already, PM me, and I'll give you an address.

I tried what you suggested and nothing happened... I got them off (shhhhhhhhhhh..... Limewire) And I think they are corrupt too... so I am going to try to download them again... its 3 songs and the only 3 songs I have had problems with... thanks for the tips!

Do be careful with files from, um, noncommercial sites.

Even with Mac's there is a danger of them doing damage. :astonished:

Forcefully open one of the files in TextEdit. You'll see a bunch of gobbly goop, but if they are mp3 files, and not bogus files people put on sharing sites to spread viruses, you should at least see some ID3 tags at the top and bottom of the gobbly goop. :)

I did that and didnt see ID3 at all, so these files are corrupt correct?

They might be viruses looking for a windows system to infect.

Just be careful, because there really are viruses that can attack the Mac. :astonished:

They are pretty few and far between, but that is likely changing.

Hi, I have a different problem with iTunes.

I just started to download videos on iTunes, but I can't burn them to a dvd disc, they only give the option to burn a 'DVD Data disc.' But that's not what I want, I want to burn it onto a DVD disc to watch it on my TV.

So is there a way to burn the videos onto a disc? Is there a program I can use?

Something to keep in mind is that video DVD's have a much shorter capacity for video, from my creating one. I can store over five hours as a data disk and I think it was around an hour and a half for a video DVD.

Anyway, I used Roxie Creator 2009 to create one since that came with my computer.

You may run into issues if the video is copy protected though.

I have an iTunes question.

I have subscribed to some podcasts and it seems like you have to open iTunes to get it to download them. I had thought that the service that runs all the time might handle that. My main use is to load music on my iPod and to update the play list.

I was wondering if that is the way it works and you have to open iTunes to get updated podcasts.

I am using it on Windows XP professional and I have version 9.0.2.

Thanks for any help.

I too always have to open iTunes to get any podcasts out of it, so I think it's just the way iTunes does things.
