Server Space

Okay.. so I have somewhat of a strange question. I am a student-teacher and in Australia they make us do ePortfolio's when we apply for teaching jobs (even you dont know about it yet - prepare for the hard work). So basically the probelm is that alot of my work (websites, presentations etc) that I need to include on my wordpress portfolio are hosted on that actual uni servers website - which we will not have access to after the end of semester.

I was wondering if anyone knows cheap ways to buy server space. Or how this whole server business thing actually works? Hope the post made sense.

are you looking for your own domain name (url)..or for someone to host like a website of yours?

I dont want to make it 'active' as such I just need somewhere to put all these resources - so that when I link to them within the wordpress (which is what they are making us use for the ePortfolio) so that they are able to go and look at my previous work. Hope this is making sense.

have you tried www.freewebs.com i use to have a fansite on there before i got a host, and it works fine, ive never used wordpress only cutenews but im sure that it will all format out the same.

Hmm now I have manged to confuse myself. See I think I need some webserver space - but not a website domain name... explaining over the net what one wants is so hard. Hmm am I even making sense?
